siscan
Hello, I am currently a Electronic Engineering Student, but have been a hardware hacker as a hobbyist for years. I recently ran across this forum while looking for a hack to remove the restrictions on my Y510P. So far I am impressed with the abundance of mods and ideas that this community has to offer. I have a number of projects that I have yet to document because I didn't feel that they would be appreciated/understood anywhere else, I think this might be the place. I look forward to joining the discussion. Also I am from the USA.

kwatson703
Thanks. I enjoyed reading this, and just joined the forum today myself. I'm using a Lenovo T430s with an i7-3520M processor and 8 GB RAM for every-day work, but it only has the Intel HD4000 graphics driver. I'd consider getting a gaming-capable laptop, but all the reviews I've read complain about the loud fan noise. I'm a musician, and use my laptop to compose and arrange, in my home studio. So a loud fan is a non-starter. Looking forward to seeing responses to my first post on building an eGPU.

I hope to learn how to mod this, either via BIOS/vBIOS or hardware wise. Once I get 5 posts then the fun will begin

I have a Dell M4500 with an i7 640M (dual core), 8GB, 256GB mSATA SSD, 1600x900, DVD. I run Win7 64 for work with VMWare for things that still need WinXP.
