Sorry for asking a stupid question but what does the T1 mode mean? And is there a way to unlock full speed (well the normal 1600MHz) while using 8GB modules from bios?

The CMD Command rate (which may be T1 or T2) is the time it takes between when the signal is given to select the memory chip to be used (can be any of the chips within each memory bank) and the beginning of a read cycle of the memory chip. T1 means that this time it only takes 1 clock cycle and 2T takes 2 clock cycles.

1T is typically ~4-5% faster than the same memory/speeds at 2T.

Thanks Prema.

Yaeh Sager has become Clevos new "public beta tester", Clevo only uploads a BIOS after Sager had it for about a month...they even sell units with alpha BIOS.

Anyway the latest Sager P150EM I have is 1.02.17LS1, so if it's newer just PM me, allways like to take a look at the new stuff.

Regarding BIOS logo, it has become quite tight in these BIOS, that's why Clevo dowgraded the RAID version with the v16 line, there was simply no space left for the latest RAID rom and module...I had to make some...LOL.

Just PM me the logo (1920x1080) that you want to use and for which model and I'll see if we can make it fit. ;)

Thanks a lot Prema for your effort. Finally the long awaited Clevo P1x0EM series BIOS mod! I can't download it yet (my first post here), but to make it clear - is it based on Clevo or Sager BIOS? Does it matter in this case? I've got Schenker XMG P502 = Clevo P150EM. Keep up the great work! May the Force be with you! :-)

It's all based on stock Clevo BIOS, but it works for all systems (Clevo, Sager etc...)

Sorry for reposting the same question but is there any way hardcode or force the ram speed? I mean I have 4 dimm modules and when I use them all it drops to 1333MHz and this is normal as far as I know.

Can you explain how it works this features: - Added full fan speed mode (Press FN+9 to toggle on/off)

Thank's :pride:

Just press the FN button along with the number button 9 to switch the fans too 100% speed and do it again to switch it back to normal?!?

Even if we would expose the BIOS RAM settings, they no longer work on 1.02.xx BIOS...Clevo uses overrides...and it's not possible to track it down as I don't own an EM machine myself to brick it along the way...

The P570WMx even forces everything to 1600Mhz, it doesn't care if we use 1333,1866 or 2133Mhz RAM... ;)

I am going to upload a simple "XTU CROSSFLASH EDITION" so you guys can go between P15xEM and P170EM Prema Mods (to use Intel XTU to Overclock your CPUs etc) in one simple flash without any brick risk.

Initially the file was too big to upload, but TI adjusted the file-size limits for us (THX for that!)...I have also tweaked the boot-logo for Win8 user to better 'merge' with the loading screen (THX @ iaTa for testing), so after that is integrated I'll update all the links...

Nice bios!Tested in P170EM and work fine!

You can mod the bios BIOS 1.00.10 ?I dont like the last bios, for Fn+Wifi dont work with software Hotkey.

if you can do it and I agree with donation

- System BIOS 1.00.10 for P170EM only.

- Solve sometimes system stops on POST issue.

- If the BIOS version of machine is 1.00.03 or early, please update to 1.00.04 before executing next step.

- Refer to the instruction of readme.txt to update BIOS + ME firmware.

- To downgrade BIOS will cause system can't boot up if the BIOS of machine is version 1.00.07 or later.

"To downgrade BIOS will cause system can't boot up if the BIOS of machine is version 1.00.07 or later." :stupid:

Sorry, but they really mean it. :concern:

All the FN stuff is in the EC and downgrading the EC from 1.02.xx to 1.00.xx is 'russian roulette'...afaik all EC from v11 onwards have the bug. If you are confident that you can downgrade to an earlier EC, let me know, but I can't advise to try it. ;)

Prema, will you be able to make the mod with XMG boot logo? There's quite a few of us XMG folks around I suppose. I found a pretty cool XMG logo, different from the original one. Still a few post to 5, so I could send it to you via notebookreview forum. Would it be difficult for a layperson (me) to change the logo myself? Are there any programs I could use for CLEVO+AMI BIOS?

I just uploaded the versions with the new Win8 logo, they are marked PMv1.0 instead PMv1. P370EMx PMv1.0 version tonight...

I won't publish any vendor logos in my mods except a shop approaches me directly to cut a deal. Check your PM on NBR. :)

Yep! ;)

One question, if you change the TDP settings in XTU does Throttlestop "TPL" window report the same Long and Short package power limits?

On the older HM series Clevo faked the TDP change in XTU and TS showed us that in reality nothing had changed.

Hello, I have bought an empty case and assembled parts of Clevo P775DM1. Basically the laptop had no display or MXM Gpu or CPU. For test case I had a CPU lying around G3900 and put it in. I also have mxm gtx 965m Clevo card. I also have installed screen from alienware laptop 2k resolution 120hz. Now the problems.
      1) The laptop boots without a hastle. But as the nvidia drivers load the screen goes black and stays like that. At first I thought the GPU was dead but the external screen worked. Then I though maybe there is a problem with GPU not being recognized or something. Downloaded GPU-Z and every sensor is working fine. I tried saving vbios file and suddenly screen turned on. It probably disconnected the GPU and reconnected it again and as long as the laptop is on, GPU works without a problem. But if I restart it, the laptop screen turns black after boot and external works fine. That's the first problem.
      2) The second one is with Ram and I don't exactly understand the problem. I have 2x8GB rams 2133. single channel works without a problem, but when I try to use both of them the laptop does not boot at all. Won't start fans just blue led keyboard lights up. in single channel both rams work with no problem. And I've tried both slots, since the laptop has 4 slots. Still not working. If you can help with any of the problems, it will be much appreciated.

p.s. I have recently bought the laptop and haven't really figured out anything around it. if you have any extra pointers/bios mods I'd really appreciate it as well.

Hello! There can someone unlock me Lenovo Yoga 2 bios 113 be for me to be able to access the hidden option Yoga 2 13 bios? I am willing to donate a coffee or two.

I've been scouring the internet in search of anything regarding an updated bios for my Clevo P170SM. I have found many mentions of Prema Bios mods on various websites, but good luck trying to find actual download links. They all seem to vanish or have dead links. Wayback Machine doesn't help either and I was only able to find stock Clevo bios as early as 2015 via the WayBack Machine. If anybody has an updates Prema Bios or some other unlocked bios file for the P170SM, that would be fantastic! Otherwise, I might have to consider paying over $100 to Eurocom for their unlocked bios.

Okay here is what's going. I have a alienware m18x r1 running an amd 8970m, I wanted to upgrade it to crossfire but I could see a 8970m was more expensive than a r9 m290x
So I decided to buy a r9 m290x and see if I could make it work in my alienware and also run crossfire.
Even though many shops refused to sell me one because the didn't think it would work in an alienware m18x r1 only in the r2.

      Here is the whole process.

      19/08/17 23:15
No post bios showing when booting, so impossible to enter bios menu, but can boot into windows 10 with no problems.

      19/08/17 23:20
Because I haven't deleted the old AMD 8970m the r9 m290x shows as a 8970m with no problems.

      19/08/17 23:34
First performance test was a success. The r9 m290x changed p-state normally. The gpu fan start spinning normally. But because of no thermal paste, the test lasted 20 seconds because the temperature raised fast.

      20/08/17 00:00
Created a backup of the vbios version
      015.032.000.004.044450

      20/08/17 00:10
Flashed a new clevo vbios version 015.032.000.003.044465
Caused the card to be corrupted and resulted the 8 beep code.

      20/08/17 00:35
Finally managed to flash the back and return the graphics card to its original state.

      20/08/17 00:50
Flashed a new dell vbios version 015.046.000.014.045579
      No change in behavior

      20/08/17 01:07
After trying multiple vbios with no luck I finally found one.
      Dell vbios Version 015.041.000.000.044966
Brings back the post bios screen and I can now enter the bios menu through the r9 m290x.
Note: This vbios reduce the cards performance from 900 mhz to 850 mhz

      20/08/17 01:21
After more testing I found one that is working with no limits.
      Clevo vbios version
      015.036.000.005.044618
Brings back the post bios screen and I can now enter the bios menu through the r9 m290x.
This will be the vbios I will keep at the moment.

      20/08/17 01:56
I completely uninstalled the previous driver and installed the newest driver. The graphics card is recognized as a 8970m but works normal.

      21/08/17 20:15
I have inserted my old 8970m in the secondary slot and will start testing crossfire.

      21/08/17 21:45
I have found out that the fan for the secondary fan did not spin. The is a cable that have felt out. I will fix it now.

      21/08/17 22:00
In my try to test crossfire compatibility, I installed the newest AMD driver 17.7.2 but as soon it installed the driver for the secondary card it caused black screen. Only booting the computer in safe mode brings the screen back.

      21/08/17 23:02
After many frustrating hours I finally managed to get crossfire working with the r9 m290x as the primary card and my old 8970m as the secondary.
I have flashed the same vbios on both cards so the r9 m290x shows up I device manager as a 8970m.

I first installed AMD driver version 16.2.1

Then installed AMD driver version 16.6.1 in order to play battlefield

      21/08/17 23:20
First test run in battlefield 1

      21/08/17 23:40
Battlefield 1 is flickering bad, this can maybe be solved with a new patch or driver.
Other games I have tried is working perfect with crossfire on.

Now what I would like to try is somehow force the r9 m290x driver to be installed and see if it will make it possible to run the latest AMD driver without getting a blackscreen.

I have tried to edit the .inf file like you would do with nvidia but no luck.
I have also tried to figure out how to edit the device id in the vbios, but I find it too complex.
