    980m vbios?

Non G-Sync version: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/167297/clevo-gtx980m-8192-141030 Gesendet von meinem ONEPLUS A3003 mit Tapatalk
  2. The problem is that Pascal os incompatible to the P570WM Bios. So even, if you could manage housing one, you wouldn't get a picture. It seems that the only person capable of doing it has taken its leave recently.... [emoji17] Gesendet von meinem ONEPLUS A3003 mit Tapatalk

  4. If it isn't temps (was my first suggestion) then most likely your card is dying! Normally six beeps and spinning fans is an indicator for a thermal shutdown or that the temp sensor isn't able to read the temp. If you go for a new card, I would recommend the GTX 680m, because getting the 7970m running on a P170HM is a pain in the butt! As a last resort, I would change the thermal pads for FujiPoly 11w/mk and repaste with at least ICD, Kryonaut or GC Extreme to make sure that the VRM's are not overheating. 6. Yep! Hope to revive my good ol' Panther soon with a Pair of E9550 or 1070 and an overclockable 10 Core Xeon! [emoji106]
  7. There is nothing sweeter than "Old Tech" kickin' the new ones a$$! [emoji16]
  8. Let us know, if the problems persists after swapping the cards with the (maybe) faulty one as slave.
  9. The blind flashing procedure is always needed. There is no workaround, if you want to use the 7970m rev 1.2 in HM-Series.
  10. It's a P370EM card, so it has to be flashed with the right vBios. As the seller mentions he would be willing to flash the right vBios on it. A 680m from a P1X0EM is really hard to find from my own experience.
  11. I wouldn't do it tbh. It's a DELL card. You can get the 4GB Clevo one with the right vBios for almost the same amount. http://www.ebay.com/itm/162250710462
  12. Maybe@sirana can chime in as I have no further idea how to assist you in this case.
  13. Both versions should be good! So, based that both cards aren't faulty, just disable the card in device manager and afterwards install the latest Crimson driver. @sirana, plz chime in, if I recited something in wrong order. P170SM G Sync

It isn't! You need a screen which is G-Sync certified and your 980m has to be the G-Sync version as well. So no dice I'm afraid! [emoji20] It isn't! You need a screen which is G-Sync certified and your 980m has to be the G-Sync version as well. So no dice I'm afraid! [emoji20]
  17. So did you reinstall the AMD drivers afterwards or did you Windows let install them?
  18. There you go: http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/31692-geforce-37570-nvidia-mobile-oem/ Replace the inf.file from original driver with this one provided in the link and you should be good to go. Disable driver signature before installing, otherwise it may not work.
  19. Better use AHCI - single drive option. It's not worth the hassle going with RAID. There wouldn't be that much of improvement in loading speeds.
  20. Yep, use DDU to remove all remnants of your old driver. Maybe the newest crimson drivers doesn't play well with your 6990m. You could try an older one, just to be sure.
  21. A 7970m should cost no more than 250 bucks. Tbh, getting a new rig would be the best choice, coupled with a 2-4 year warranty and you're good to go! There are some Clevo GTX 680m's out there for around 300-350€. If CS:Go is your only game, then investing in a 680m could save you a bit of money. Or you get this one: http://www.ebay.de/itm/222300553203 Pretty nice for this price! [emoji6] Just thinking.
  22. For AMD: you need the 1.2v and blind flash the vBios @Khenglish kindly provided. Though I admit that it isn't for starters, you should be fine by following the instructions of the thread I provided earlier. For Nvidia: more costly but not that finicky in tweaking! You need the GTX 680m from the P1X0EM series, cause the right vBios is already there -> 80.04.29.00.01! When grabbing a Clevo card from another series you most likely have to flash the just mentioned vBios version on it. After that, you have to tweak the .inf file from the Nvidia driver to get it working or just grab the drivers + modded inf from here. If gaming is your preference the 4GB from the 680m will help you a ton though the 7970m is a bit performanter on stock. Hope that helps!
  23. In case you need a little advice in blind flashing the vBios, I can recommend the instructions of this thread! In case you can lay hands on a Clevo GTX 680m, make sure that this vBios is on it. Otherwise it won't work! Edit: No Dell cards! Only Clevos (MSI cards may work with a vBios flash)!
  24. Then the only possibility still left could be faulty drivers. Which driver version are you using now? Pls try one or several older ones. It is known that drivers from NGreeedia can be hit or miss.
