Trial and error but when you find one that works it will be the same as another id. use the same section as that id every time mine is : %NVIDIA_DEV.13D7.7104.1558% = Section064, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13D7&SUBSYS_71041558 same as %NVIDIA_DEV.13D7.5281.1558% = Section064, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13D7&SUBSYS_52811558 so if I use the same section as 5281.1558 in every driver it will work.

Depends on your OS if your not on win 10 you need to add the first part a few times unless you know which part is for your OS and make sure you disable driver signing when you install.

When you modify the .inf you add a line which tells it which section to use this file is for 375.63 and goes in NVidia > displaydriver > 375.63 > International > display.driver overwrite the current file then go up a directory to international and run setup (with driver signing turned off) nvcvi.rar

I had that once and I tried using a different section in the .inf

No never lights at all.

Upgraded my P170SM to prema mod v2 bios and ever since then my backlight hasn't worked. What am I doing wrong is there a setting in the bios or what else have I missed. Also I've upgraded from win 7 to win 10 since then so that may not help although I have latest software and drivers. Is it safe to flash back to a stock clevo bios and then back to prema etc ?

I have a P170Sm prema V2 mod and a gtx980m with GTXX980M_MXM_OC_PM_v2 and have to mod my .inf files to get the drivers to install. I've heard that I possibly shouldn't have to on a thread on this page. Am I doing something wrong or do I need something else?? Any help greatly appreciated.

Anyone like to shed some light on how to install without modded inf please ?

Strange??? my 170SM is running Prema with a 980M with modded vbios and I have to mod .inf to get the drivers installed ???

You'll need to modify the .inf file in the downloaded drivers to get them to install.(And disable driver signing while installing)

Do PC Specialist not want to sell any Laptops, with tech support like theirs they shouldn't. I bought one of their gaming laptops second hand and it had prema bios installed, the warranty is in my name and they pretty much refuse to let me have the latest official bios. As my backlit keyboard is refusing to work I'd like an official bios just to prove whats at fault. There tech support has to be the worst I've ever come across taking 2 days to reply to emails and I would seriously recommend that if you want a gaming laptop you stay well clear of them. All they do is send links to the new hotkey win10 app which is installed but won't switch on the keyboard lighting. If anyone else has any suggestions for my problem please reply as I've given up on them now and will NEVER have another computer of theirs. And if anyone has the latest official Vortex IV P170SM Bios that would be greatly appreciated.

How do I find out if my 980m is g sync as I only bought it a month ago ?

I have a P170SM I7 4940MX GTX980M I like the look of G Sync so can I simply change my screen and it will auto setup or is there more to it? Is my system even G Sync compatible ? Cheers in advance.
