  1. I just got it to work in Windows 10. Roughly the same results in CUDA-Z as with the Spectre x360. This suggests it's a software issue, right?

  3. We were able to get our hands on the new MBP for a limited amount of time. Still waiting on our order to arrive. In the amount of time we were able to test it, we got a good connection with macOS Sierra. We connected the Razer Core and got an "Unsupported Device". That's all we were able to do for now. More info to come later when we get the higher-end models in the lab.

  5. They are both soldered, you can't change the CPU.

  6. Yes, USB and ethernet both work too.

  7. I just installed Razer Synapse, the Razer GFX card switcher, and the Nvidia drivers - I didn't have to do anything special (and I suspect the Razer software isn't actually required). When I installed Windows 10, I noticed that the Intel thunderbolt software that's normally present wasn't installed. I installed a copy, but got an error when running it that "This application is not supported on Boot Camp. (Thunderbolt devices and networking will work correctly). I did notice that when I use the short passive cable that came with the core, the Core seems to power cycle itself a lot more on boot than with the active cable (they both work though). One last caveat is that while the Core will power the MBP, if you've got the Apple power brick plugged in (so that the MBP is drawing from that instead), Windows will blue screen if you unplug the power.

  8. Actually, Apple's store page for the adapter says that it is bidirectional for Macs as long as the computer is running Sierra. I'm hoping it works that way in Windows 10 as well, as I do most of my gaming on my Bootcamp partition, and it would really limit the number of games I could use the Node for if it only works for me on MacOS.

  9. Doing another test over TB3 will take a few days unfortunately. I have my OS NVME SSD connected to the system over TB3 right now and renders are running. But the clocks were exactly the same in both tests with completely bone stock drivers. The machine has the battery installed (always) and is using the High Performance Profile (Always). ( i never run the system without or on the battery , its always connected to AC and is on the High Performance profile with C-States disabled on the processor). I did try higher clocks when the GPU was connected over TB3 (2088 Mhz), but CUDAZ output was exactly the same. Also im using the stock 50cm 40Gbps TB3 cable. Not really going to invest in another cable anytime soon, since i dont really need it. To be honest, i haven't even found one for sale online.

  12. Will you guys be testing this on the new Macbook Pro? I am thinking it is a better option than the Razer Core not just because of price, but as I believe you will provide better support as the Core is obviously designed specifically for the Blades regardless of whether they say it is not system specific or not.

  13. It will also depend on the settings they did in the EFI of the new MBP. Fingers crossed

  16. Received it. Thank you! I dont know what the program can monitoring all power of laptop. I know it is possible with power control device. Of course you can use another power adapter(with more power) from another laptop, but you need choice it with correct voltage and connector (the same as your native connector from Acer).
