  1. Let's hope Casey Hudson is bullshitting fans and gives us a real ending: 'Mass Effect 3' producer talks controversial ending

  2. Well since I been gone for some time let me show you one of the reasons for it. This little baby is perfect for in town transportation and it will get me to 60~65 miles per hour. MPG is around 75 but since I am in the break in process is currently pulling close to 64 MPG. This critters are fun to drive and I think I could reach Brian's place with a full tank!. Also they won't break your bank, they surprisingly affordable!

  3. You will not be able to put an extreme processor in it. The only desktop extreme processor of the current generation is the 3960X and it needs a X79 board. The X51 is a Z68 board. Plus the PSU will no where support it. It has enough trouble keeping up with a normal i7 2600 and 560 Ti. An i7 2600 is plenty. It is not overclockable because it doesn't have the K suffix meaning that it isn't unlocked. I say you leave everything as it is, maybe if you can, get some fast 1.35v ram. Then wait for the new Kepler cards to come out. You may see greater than GTX 580 performance within the 560 power envelope with the newer cards.

  5. Welcome to T|I! Personally I think Kepler will be available by next month as will M18x-R2. If you can cancel the order, I would do so. The reason is that brand new technology built on a new process (Kepler/GCN/Ivy Bridge) is almost here and it will run cooler and faster than current tech. This is especially true on the CPU side since Sandy Bridge (e.g. 2960xm) can get very hot when pushed through overclocking. Ivy Bridge will be faster + run cooler and so will Kepler/GCN. If you had ordered this system 2-3 months ago I'd have said keep the order but not this late in the game.

  6. Hi and welcome to T|I! Great specs... The R2 is due sometime during the summer, but there's no release date so far. Might be early May, but could as well be late June... no idea. It's not even official yet. Still, this is definitely one of the few moments when you really have to ask yourself whether you want to wait some more months, or whether you want to get a system now. (A system which is very high-end, probably not as good as the R2 is going to be). JI'm sure you can still cancel your order, but keep in mind that AW might not offer the extreme CPU in the R2 from the very beginning, at least it usually hasn't been available from the first day in past machines if I remember correctly.

  7. That annoys me so much! One of my lecturers at uni keeps asking everyone "How many gigs their GPU has" and seems to rate them on that. He really should know better! I'd like to see a 3gb 555m up against my 1.5gb GTX 580.

  8. Added Links for the Geforce 296.17 Driver for Windows 8 Consumer Preview. Is this the first Win8 Driver from NVIDIA?

  9. i definitely think it is. It's all about presenting your case correctly and of course, a bit of luck. Also, the three repairs rule/law applies only when the same problem is repaired i believe. Good luck man! I hope you get a good deal out of it! (my guess is a refurbished M11x-R2)

  11. looking at those pics it seems like that with that much paste that it would go over the edge of the ram and get on the board. Ill give it a try and see if there is any changes. thanks for all the help!

  13. ================= SPOILER ================= The end of the game is: WTF??? The story is very good, very philosophical, dramatic, and you could even say that is spiritual too... got me thinking that everything is a cycle ....everything has a beginning and an end... every ending is hard to accept .. but hey! is just a game ... sucks tits, have sex and have fun! Mass Effect 3: all end - Shepard alive (I think this is the "True ending") - Control ending god - Control ending bad - Synergy ending - Reapers destroyed, earth somehow - Reapers destroyed, earth not - Earth destroyed enjoy!

  14. You lose Optimus with the 3D screen. There's no way I would settle for 2 hours unplugged use! I can pull off 5 hours on battery power using integrated graphics (will not be able to power the 120hz screen). 6990M comes with switchable graphics which is just as good, especially when you have more control over switching.
