Hi Guys. I can't seem to access the nv_dispi.inf_v372.70_Win10_PEG_Dedicated_Alienware.zip download it keeps saying "The page you requested does not exist"

I'm an elite member so thought that shouldn't be a problem.

Nope, it's working fine. While logged in, try refreshing the page.

@Mr. Fox I've tried every AB supported voltage controller with no luck, Clevo probably used a cheap voltage controller without I2C programming support. Still, AB's KBOOST is properly implemented, unlike Precision X triggering debug mode. No one at EVGA can hold a candle to Unwinder when it comes to programming skills.

Nothing here...

Hey guys,

Right now it is shown as default graphic device and I cannot install drivers to it. Any chance to help me? Do I need to modify vbios or drivers, or both? Attached gpu-z screen for this card. Please help me :)

J95,

Thank you so much for keeping these .inf files updated with every mayor nvidia driver update. Really important for the community :)

edit: Any specific reason you're recommending  368.25 drivers? At least for a A17 R1 + 980M 8gb?

I just discovered that my card always on P1 does not go to P0 memory always on 1550Mhz so yes properly thats the problem ....I do have the vBIOS flashed . Thats why i aksed many times all of the members told me that 180w should be fine but seems that its not ....Buying one right now from Ebay

PS : there like 3 versions of the 240W Dell , Delta and flextronics ? which one is the best ?

Sorry for all the Qs

Have you sovled this problem ?  Do I really need a 240W PSU , my module is alienware 17 with a 180W PSU.  I don't  think  this cause the throttling.

Thx J95, tried similar hack by myself linking my 970M optimus (Clevo P170EM) with ni lucky... Installs fine but error 42 on the driver status in the device manager :( always son painful to get those infs to ne properly hacked. I managed to take the slot of 13D8.6471.1558 for my system on 359.13 but this 372.90 is a no-go... Do you think it would change something if I try with your infs (even if my system IS optimus) ?

Thanks for your help !

Thanks for your help !

You haven't specified what's your OS version.

Just follow the instructions above...deleting the proper folders and disabling DSE.

Clevo 9xx Optimus.

Try first.

nvcvi.inf_v372.90_Win7_8.1_Optimus_CLEVO.zip

nvcvi.inf_v372.90_Win10_Optimus_CLEVO.zip

This time keep both Display.Optimus & Display.Update folders.

nvcvi.inf_v372.90_Win7_8.1_Optimus_CLEVO_02.zip

nvcvi.inf_v372.90_Win10_Optimus_CLEVO_02.zip

@J95    Can I solve the problem by just using your moded driver instead of flashing a vbios ? Do I have to get a 240w psu. Thx!!

Sorry... It was for Windows 10.

I tried your infs (both approaches)... however, it leads to the same results as my hack : the device would not start (Code 43) :(

Any further ideas ?

@J95 Do I just express install those over eachother after using DDU and then stay at 368.25?

I am also wondering as I have the 880M here and can't get it working properly.

What do you guys mean by "throttling" in case of a GPU? In my case with the latest drivers installed I can't force any app to use the GTX and when I launched bioshock Infinite I could barely move the mouse pointer over a black screen with no menu textures loaded (?!)...

@HaloTechnology  If I get a 240W PSU , does it mean I dont need to flash a vbios to break the throttling ? Thx!!

Yep, 240W PSU 970M minimum requirement. First backup stock vBIOS (GPU-Z) then flash the corresponding Prema mod.

'Safe Mode' run DDU "Clean and shutdown" try first v368.69, if it still throttles then install 369.00 (DDU) and so forth.

Did you disable driver signing before installing drivers? Latest Intel  Win10 drivers HD4000 installed? Try switching to dedicated mode.

Install v359.13 then zip working inf mod to check inf entries.

Please post 880M HW IDs.

Yep ! I did disable driver signing. Installed lastest Intel Win10 HD4000 driver too. Unfortunately, optimus can't be disabled on P170EM, even with prema mod bios.

I already compare the section you selected from 372.90 and 359.12 (was not 13 in fact, I made a mistake) and they are roughtly the same.

Maybe optimus stop being supported with 970M starting for a revision of the nvidia drivers between 359.12 and 372.90 (I hope I'm wrong :( ) ?

There you go @J95, in the Device Manager it looks like this: PCI/VEN_10DE&DEV_1198&SUBSYS_053F1028&REV_A1

Now, I've come across threads that described successful upgrades to both 880m and 980m and my failure is starting to worry me. In one of the threads there was something mentioned about LDVS and eDP connectors for the screen - as far as I know mine goes to the LDVS slot - am I suppose to change that (I know these are two different formats, but I just plugged the screen connector straight to LVDS when mounting the laptop together),

If needed, I can try out a Quadro K5100M in this setup to see if it's running, but I really hope the GTX will work eventually, as I am driven more towards gaming and I know the M6700 is capable of doing that!
