  1. Do you think Broadway will work with current haswell motherboards? I kinda doubt on this...
  2. Why is not effective applying to only one surface? And for GPU what are you using for Memory chips and VRM?
  3. Khenglish: how do you apply liquid pro? Like they do in the video with cotton buds or with a nail painting brush? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. So you also sanded the gpu heatsink, or only the cpu? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Keep pressed Ctrl+Home and press the power button while the bios file named properly is on the usb key. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Hello, ask prema to turn off "Cfg Lock" setting in BIOS or MSR 0xE2 if it is not already visible in which case you can do this yourself. You can also do this by yourself with patching the bios from prema with UEFIPatch, but I feel that flipping a bios switch is better than patching. No more kernel panics after that! 7. They have some gas/liquid under pressure that when hot is in gas form, when cooled down they return to liquid state. If blown, they won't cool much.
  8. Thunderbolt 1. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. There are notebooks with thunderbolt with haswell. No point in going backwards... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Can you post a picture with what you are trying to accomplish? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. The latest test version of setup 1.3 failed to chainload. Don't know why... I hate when I have to debug and I don't know where should I look. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Reinstalled Windows 8.1 on a new SSD drive and I'm trying again with Setup 1.3 to compact the PCI space. The problem is the previous trick with disable dGPU, compact, reenable dGPU no longer works, for a reason beyond my understanding, the reenabled dGPU will come with error Code 12. Tried again with the original Windows 8.1 and it works back fine.
  13. You need a little tool to make your keyboard working back again. Let me know if you can't find it, I will povide a mirror download link. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Asus uses rectangular mxm3 slots, normal cards are square. Also, I think Asus is using a reversed mxm3 socket, while others are normal, whatever that means. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. First I could talk a lot of stupid things. So don't kill me for this. But lets starts. Asus usually use a custom form factor for their cards, they don't keep the cards square, they make the cards rectangular like in the picture. Also I've heard they use a "reversed" MXM3 slot, whatever that means. You sure you can adapt another card in your g53? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. First, get a USB stick formated as Fat or fat32, 2 or 4 GB would be just fine. Place it in your USB port, keep ctrl+home pressed, don't release them, and press power button. Take a look at the behavior, is the laptop doing something? Like reading from the USB stick? There should be the led activity on the stick if the laptop tries to read it. Is the laptop doing something different than just not working? Like blinking or taking longer to do something?
  17. I have a little issue. I have a couple of entries in my Windows Boot Manager and one of them is a grub coomandline. I can do a: root (hd1,0) Chainloader (hd1)+0 Boot And my MacOS will chainload just fine. But now I want to boot with my eGPU. So I select eGPU entry in boot manager, I do my compact that runs pci.bat then I return to boot manager. And now selecting the grub manager command line no longer works as expected. It seems that setup 1.3 somehow shadows/hides my MacOS disk and shows me another drive. What can I do about this issue besides swaping my drives? I see that (hd2) is not affected, so if I swap macos drive to this letter should work. But I want to have it as (HD1). Help? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Keys are lightning up? Logo on back of display is powered? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. 3dmark is what everyone use for GPU. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Just curious what tool did you used to dump the lane multipliers? Also, because I see there is Intel Northbridge first, is that running on PCIe 3.0 instead of PCIe 2.0? On my HM87 mobo I see the thunderbolt port assigned under Southbridge, as PCI-E 2.0 x4.
  21. What you mean by retrofit a TB2 chip? You mean like buying a TB2 chip somewhere else and solder that tiny thing on the motherboard in the empty spot? Assuming it could work from an electrical standpoint, like having same pins/connections/traces, but isn't thunderbolt directly a PCI hub? And that means it needs a new BIOS supporting that extra PCI port and changes to PCI IRQ routing?
  22. Actually from your link, it looks like it is not for display port, it is for GPIO.
  23. Is the first entry that use the whole 8 digits, in your case it would be 9000 0000. 0x90000000 = 2415919104 2415919104 / 1024 / 1024 = 2304 That would be at 2304MB I guess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Ok, please come with a connector for ultrabay first and then we can talk more.
