GetFound
Nice looking specs! What kind of price did you get for all of that gear Jimbo?
Jimbo
Bout $3600 AU, the warranty is by far the most expensive option, but I can be a bit of a klutz, plus I guess some of the horror stories have had an effect. Couldn't pass up the Wireless HD for LAN nights and cool points. I'll put in RAM and SSD, but I found it seriously hard to resist the siren song of the 2920. The instant (If) a fully unlocked bios comes out, precious will find it's way to me, oh yes it will. mmmmmmmmmm, 2920........
Founder StamatisX Posted June 18, 2011 Founder Share Posted June 18, 2011 yeah warranty is a good investment, especially for laptops priced like that... hope you won't have to use it
Jimbo
Forgot to say that includes shipping to Australia and a backpack. I already have a north face bigshot, loooooove this tardis like backpack, and I was SERIOUSLY shocked when I realised there's no way known the M18x will fit inside. mw86
Ordered the rig in my sig on June 13th. The vertex and HyperX were ordered separate. I bought the system with the 750gb drive with two in raid... Which I'll put one in another system and upgrade my external drive which is the only drive I use for my data. I bought with lowest ram option since I'm upgrading. I got the backpack... Its huge... I feel like i could crawl inside it and there still be room. I got the 4 year advanced warranty so it would cover accidental damage. My Edd was like June 29 and then a 5-7 day wait bit i received a call that stated the date was delayed until July 7th... So there's a incoming M18 soon. Michael you should receive yours before me... What about Brians edd?
Founder StamatisX Posted June 28, 2011 Founder Share Posted June 28, 2011 Brian's got delayed...
Founder Michael Posted June 28, 2011 Founder Share Posted June 28, 2011 My EDD is currently 7/1, but my rep tells me the WiHD cards are on backorder and are expected on 7/8, so that will bump by EDD to after that date.Funny because i was sure what's holding me back is the red base. It's been a month and a half already, this wait is ridiculous, because i am moving on 20th of July if I can't get it before that i'd be forced to cancel.Oh, and Brian's got cancelled, again... Dell are screwing up here...
mw86
OMG I can't believe for a second time Brians order was canceled. I chose the WiHD too and Red base so I will have the same delays as you Michael. we may receive ours at a similar date which is really screwed if you think about it. My order went in June 13th and I'm seeing almost the same EDD as you even though you ordered even earlier...
mw86
My latest EDD is now been pushed further another 7 days to July 14th... I ordered the internal wireless HD transmitter and the Red paint job so one of those must be holding me back still.
rawhide85
Finally ordered yesterday! Yes, I was able to use the "Hot Summer Savings" EPP discount (25% off). My rep was excellent. Jimbo
Just got a confirmation on the changes I made to my system - 2630 instead of 2720 cos I got the ES one from boobman. Dropped the VIZIO part of the WiHD, figure I can buy one aftermarket if cables are pissing me off. Dropped the 6300 planning to put in 1103 (If I'd waited 3 more days I could've just ordered it that way, but I'm not reordering again...) Pansied out on getting red, plus I was SO sick of waiting already. 6990's going in, If I have to explain that, you're on the wrong site. EDD: 12/8 (8/12 for you bass-ackwards yanks )
