alkado
I flashed back to the stock BIOS because I had these weird problems with missing bootmgr for no reason on my gt683dx will try again later. Suoah, use My unlocked verson for GT683DX http://forum.techinferno.com/msi/1839-msi-g-series-unlocked-bios-23.html#post32214
Xonar
Apologize for the delays... Thanksgiving holiday, had family over for a couple of days. So these are all RAID versions of MSI BIOS's? Yes. If you don't have RAID, you can still set SATA Mode to AHCI. Xonar,There is an updated bios version from MSI for GT 60 series. MSI Global - Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Mainboard, Graphics and more you might as well put the modded bios version with this one regarding the memory tweaks, cpu unlock etc... tnx Sure. Can I ask for a modified BIOS for GE70 with 660m? Yep, I will. Thank you! It worked.Wanted to ask: can be heard on the MSI GT 683 can be put Ivy Bridge CPU if flash the modified BIOS. Is it really possible? No, never. HiThere is something strange with this new bios. The previous bios 10T does nothave any option to boot in UEFI mode. Cant install the 50T bios. I did ask MSI to comment and waiting for an answer. EDIT reading more on i it seems that new GT60/GT70 are shipped with a different bios which has a win 8 key embedded in the bios. Probably the 50T is only for GT60 shipped with win 8. If that is tue,Lets hope MSI will keep maintening both bios version. http://www.msi.com/product/nb/GT60-0NE.html#/?div=BIOS Yes, if you look 50T/70T are for Win8. Is it possible to flash the BIOS from GT60 to GT683 No. Don't do it. Suoah, use My unlocked verson for GT683DX http://forum.techinferno.com/msi/1839-msi-g-series-unlocked-bios-23.html#post32214 I don't understand why you are so insistent on a non-RAID version. What happens when someone adds a second HDD and RAID? Now they have to flash another BIOS. With the RAID-enabled BIOS all they have to do it set AHCI to RAID. Also, use the '@' to get someone's attention. For instance, @alkado will page you.

Moderator BAKED Posted November 25, 2012 Moderator Share Posted November 25, 2012 I've unlocked a lot of different features on my gt683dx that I couldn't see with the gt680/gt683 bios, I've been up for 34 hours looking for a way to access the mebx menu and now I'm trying to find a string in the bios where I can enable or find the key combo to enter the mebx which is integrated in the chipset, if this is possible I should be able to edit the me firmware too see if there's anything of interest in there. What I've learned is that dell uses ctrl+p, and others use ctrl+alt+f1 in post to access the mebx and the default password should be admin to gain entry to the management engine interface. Most other oem uses there own key combination I don't know if this is possible but I sure hope i might find a way around this.

I will look in to this just a bit more before I give up but first i need 12hours of sleep before I get hallucinations ;D*edit*From what I've read you wont have to modify and flash the ME fw if I get this to work. Moderator BAKED Posted November 25, 2012 Moderator Share Posted November 25, 2012 @XonarYou dont happen to know how to convert a .424 file into .bin? I've been searching my a** off.
Xonar
Try saving the file with the .bin extension? I.E.: 683DX.bin. BCP will recompile the image into whatever you set the extension to (if supported of course).
svl7
It's just an extension, just rename it to .bin.

teuing
I think I need some help guys. I have an MS 1761, but when flashing (after I type update.bat), I got error " rom file romid is not compatible with existing bios romid" after some Googling, I found some suggestion to add /x parameter to bypass ROMID check. Is that true? (or in other way, IS IT SAFE?) I'm sure already downloaded the right BIOS Thanks in advance *beer*
