Radio47fool
I see. Do you know if there is something like super duper for windows? (I do come from a mac)Basically it creates a perfect clone of the boot hd, inside an usb hd, and actually makes it also bootable.Acronis can do the job? Thanks for the info

My new M18x is on the fedex truck, should be here any minute now.

I hate those kind of details that just make it unacceptable... nothing seems to be sent without issue. i had 3 broken tabs on bottom cover, pinched fan wire and gnarled keyboard ribbon due to factory neglect... no 4ghz overclock when recieved didnt want but was charged for it... just annoying we have issues on such "high end equipment"

But to be fair this stuck pixel is so small most people would never notice it., I'm just very picky and dead pixels are the first thing I search for in a new computer.Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk
iloveb00bs
me too. the first thing i check is the screen. if the screen is jacked then nothing else really matters. so far i pretty happy with my rig just a few weird boot issues that just comes and goes. iloveb00bs
its really nothing major, prolly was my fault. one is sometimes it won't boot without being plugged in, brian told me it was because i oc'ed the cpu bclk. never had that problem with r3. another is once in awhile it won't recognize my drive when booting, so i get the no device found. just picking up the laptop and shaking it a little solves that problem. i've check to see if an wires were loose but nothing??? mw86
I don't use the battery a lot but ill try no bsclk over lock and a bsclk over lock on battery to see if mine does this too. We should see if this is consistent I'll add it to over lock guide. Sounds though like issues I have not ran into... perhaps keep an eye on things maybe you need a mobo to solve it... No boot issues since day one... If baseclock is too high windows won't boot but it depends on the silicon. If you are shooting for 107 bsclk it may not happen but who knows... Me 105.13 max to boot to windows and 105.06 for bench. But your R3 got 107 so who knows

Founder Brian Posted January 10, 2012 Author Founder Share Posted January 10, 2012 Welcome to Tech|Inferno 1sgret! That's a good configuration but I'd either opt for a 2960xm processor or down grade to 2760qm and save money. The 2860qm isn't a popular choice because it offers little to no gain over a cheaper priced 2760qm.

enantiopure
Everyone, Dell sent me a 240watt adapter with my purchase of a dual 680M R2. It works. However, SLI cannot be enabled and Turbo Boost will fail. I had CPU speeds of 12X 1200mhz on my 3720QM. This has been resolved after a major uphill battle with dell. If anyone finds that they cannot SLI or that there CPU is running at minimal speeds, I hope those searching for those terms will find this information helpful.
