@ Ninja - thanks so much for getting started. Can you please add which driver you are using and also whether your FPS on witcher 2 is with OC or without? Also i forgot for witcher do you mind shooting a screenshot of the config you utilized? I just want to see exactly what the settings are. Again I really appreciate your effort on this! Thanks!

@Ht - did you get the dual graphics 6750 with integrated? if so, what kind of scores are you getting in 3dmark11? Any game benchmarks? The fact that its xfire config is pretty cool actually! Wish nvidia/intel would do the same.

@Alex - Thanks for posting this. I do have some questions i wanted to ask the developer before trying this... Our bios has the voltage for both the intel and the nvidia gpu. The intel is already adjustable as well as the clocks. How does he know he has modified the Nvidia voltage vs the intel voltage? Did he create an extra menu or something in the bios that allows modification of the nvidia voltage? I am asking this to protect myself and all members as i dont want to see ANYONE ruin their machines. Yes I know we all still have our warranty ... Ninjahunter was gracious enough to agree to post some benchmarks of the m14x with the I5. I would ask everyone to hold off from any comments whether they be positive or negative compared to your normal expectations. I think most I5 owners are a little nervous about the benchmarks in fears that everyone will "troll" them. My game benchmark requests are as follows... If you have a 1600x900 I would ask that you turn it down to 1280x720 so that we (me) can match your settings for an honest comparison. Also for results I would like to you please run each with stock GPU, then OC GPU (whatever you are comfortable with) Easy Games First - These games have built in benchmarks and are easy to run. - Metro 2033 (dx11, high, no physx, no DOF, set to AAA) - Just Cause 2 (default settings, no bokeh filter) - Mafia 2 (no physx as this kills FPS by 1/2, high settings for everything else) - Dawn of War 2 (ultra settings) Games that require Fraps plus logging - BFBC2 - set to high (minus HDAO) enter a mp map that's empty (atacoma desert) hit F11 to log, capture all flags, then turn off logging. - Witcher 2 - medium or high settings (we will probably need to talk on this one as it's difficult to match settings) - Crysis 2 - Very High Vanilla and Extreme Vanilla (i hear this has a in game bench but I haven't messed with it yet) - COD BO - High and Ultra Fraps logging during MP match or SP? @Ninja - if you can think of others please let me know. Can you run the built in benchmark that comes with metro2033 on 1280x720, high settings, no phsyx, no fov, dx11 (and dx10 if you like) and post a screenshot of the scores? Yeah, what did you end up doing to resolve this issue? I would have them keep coming out until it's perfect to your taste.

FIRST... THANK YOU ALEX SIX! I WILL REPAY YOU WHEN THE BF3 LAUNCH HITS. The Game: The game itself is a very weird combination of web interface plus back end engine. In truth I don't like the web interface but maybe it's something they have chosen to have it more lite on the front end. The game itself only has 4 settings in game once it's launched. Low, Med, High, Auto. The config file is located at C:\Users\YOURWINDOWSLOGINID\AppData\Local\BF3\settings The settings are strange in that if you make even one change and save, it will lock your game completely up. I have tried in game, out of game, auto. Here are some comparison screenshots taken with FRAPS. Stock Clocks, No OC. Each on Low, Medium, High, Auto Here are more screenshots taken with FRAPS. This alone will cause major impact to game performance. Again Low, Med, High then Auto. (Thoughts.. I am wondering if the config options are in mem **a lot like ATI driver settings** and rather than config file modifications we need a tool to modify the settings in memory) The config file is located at C:\Users\YOURWINDOWSLOGINID\AppData\Local\BF3\settings PROF_SAVE_body I played for many sessions (and on/off a few more). I stayed above 30fps for 95 percent of the time and up to 45fps during the outside maps. If Dice allows the ability to disable the ambient occlusion and AA we should easily be able to stay above 35-40fps even during the most intense fire fights IMO. I am very impressed with the game so far. I will post a few screenshots soon to follow. As you can see in the config file theirs really not much to choose from. I was yelling for others to optmize but at this point you really can't do much. I hope BETA allows for better individualization. For M14x Owners, if you get access to the Alpha, you can set it to AUTO, Low or Medium and play. If you set it to HIGH you will most likely see some drops into the 20s. I strongly advise you overclock to at least 750/900 as the screenshots show you its an extra 5 to 6fps for smooth gameplay. My concerns... 1. Dx9 was not supposed to be supported yet the directx9 source files are included with alpha install and when I run the bf3.exe in compatibility mode as Windows XP it runs. You get a warning at the top of the in the web browser but the game starts and works. 2. Is the game really running in DX10 or DX11? I can run the game without issue in vista sp2 compat mode and dont get an increase in performance. NEXT UP.. CPU UTILIZATION, GPU UTILIZATION, CORES, and other... CPU Utilization - i7-2630QM with all 8 threads enabled (parking disabled) hovered anywhere between 40-60percent utilization. most threads were around 40 percent utilized but overall total it was normally between those numbers. Never at 100 percent. GPU Utilization - The nvidia 555mGT stays pegged at 99-100 percent the entire match. My temps were normally around 72-74c at all times. The graphics themselves are a step back from BFBC2 it still seems to push the card. StevenX

I actually have many different gray banded kingsnakes... Dark ones, light ones, orange, no orange, etc... I have a special built house behind mine that's the reptile room with all the critters. I keep no venomous or pythons/boas as I have ZERO desire to cause problems or get in trouble. Just native kingsnakes and ratsnakes. all of which are legal...

If you google gray banded kingsnake or grayband kingsnake you will see it's an amazing looking snake. They are variable and the nickname I got from the community "darkphase" is because i tend to only find the darker animals which are usually harder to see on the rocks. I own www.graybandedkingsnake.com but have never done anything with it. I need to but just haven't...

Sorry Stam. I am not in this trailer. I know with 100 percent certainty i am in the creds, just not sure if my interview made the movie or not. Here is another trailer and my buddy lance is in it for certain. He was arrested in a FBI sting operation in 1995 called "operation rock cut". If you google it, you will probably find a variety of info. What it boils down to was they government spent millions trying to prove snake hunters were illegally taking animals from national parks and trafficing. Lance was charged with loads of stuff. ALL CHARGES WERE DROPPED. The government only gave back the weapons confiscated. The animals (snakes) that were taken, were never seen again. Here is another trailer... Again the point is we dont break laws, but how we are treated you would think we were the most dangerous folks in the world. In America, it's ok to kill snakes, its just not ok to collect them, save them or appreciate them in any way other than on keychains, boots or belts... This is a movie I might be in.. meaning I filmed a long interview for the movie in a town called Sanderson Texas and I know I am in the credits as Steven "Darkphase" Owens. It's about the reptiles that people come from across the world to collect in Texas called the Gray Banded Kingsnake or Lampropeltis Alterna. Its not the crap you see on TV which GAS and people killing Rattlesnakes. Its about appreciation of the animals, husbandry, enjoying the relationships you make with other herpetologists. I have been collecting snakes since I was a little kid. Certainly before you saw any STeve Irwin programs on TV in the early 90s. (But I give Steve Irwin full credit for bringing reptiles to everyones living room, his spirit and his enthusiasm. I miss him to be frank. I didn't always agree with his methods but I really like the man) If you get a chance watch the trailer below and their is another trailer as well I will post. I think then if prone is allowed you get very limited belly movement (more life like) and switching between prone and standing should take some time. I also think as in real life that if your using heavy sniper rifles then you need to be slowed vs lite sub MG's or something and no shooting allowed while standing from the most potent class of sniper rifles. (Nobody in the military shoots a 50 cal rifle standing).
