  1. X-men first class was pretty good. Definitely better than x2 or x3 IMO. Then again, I did like Origins a lot, but most people hated that. The timeline between Origin and X-men first class is off a bit (inconsistencies). Little fockers-funny movie. Not any real plot, but still funny
  2. Where are you ordering from? I just ran up a mock m14x profile on alienware.com, and the nameplate was free.
  3. Wow, thanks for all the vids! Looks like a hardware heaven video compilation. +1 rep for all the work
  4. Hey guys, I take no credit for this (found it on NBR, props to them), so here is a link that appears to confirm the 560m coming NVIDIA refreshes notebook graphics with GeForce GTX 560M, attracts ASUS, MSI, Toshiba and Alienware -- Engadget
  5. I seriously doubt this would be going into the m14x; it is probably too thermally intensive for the m14x heatsink. The 555gt is at least 30-40% below the 560m (since it is supposed to be 10% better than the 460m)
  6. Best of luck ichime! All of this stuff is completely beyond me, but looks like fantastic work. The heatsink change looks very appealing to me, and when I get up the courage to mess with my system, I might do that
  7. OriginPC is just soooo overpriced... Even alienware isn't that bad
  8. Seems promising If only i had an extra 500 to drop on this
  9. Both the ipad and the transformer both have ips screens, and similar viewing angles. I guess the ipad must have a better gamut or something. If asus did proper advertising and really got this out there, I could see it being a true ipad competitor, now that the xoom tanked.
  10. I personally believe this will flop. Even though the price is reputed to be decent (299 for the 4hour acer one I think? And 399? for the samsung 8 hr one?), it still is more expensive than your standard netbook. Also, the lack of a real os is troubling as well. I might be backwards or wrong on those prices. Honestly, I would not be psyched to put all my data on the web, a cloud based solution is interesting and neat, but not practical. The internet is too finicky to depend on always
  11. Tablets are ok. Ipad though is just junk. It is my touch, blown up. Seriously, people will dish out HUNDREDS more for a big itouch... The asus eeepad transformer is good competition, same level processor, battery life, screen, etc. I would seriously consider it if I was going to be spending a lot of time on an airplane or something like that
  12. Liked the m17x r3 one more. Was that cod black ops? If so, it could almost be a commercial for it.
  13. SOOOOO overpriced Dell's corporate greed has shot themselves in the foot. Sadly though, people will still buy the m18x at these prices. I won't, cant justify spending that much money on something like that, when I could just get a decent gaming laptop, and a kick-ass desktop for less than a semi-maxed m18x
  14. Battery life, build quality, pretty lights, warranty-m18x slight cpu edge (907x-990x), slight gpu edge (capable of both 6970CF and 485m) and PRICE-->clevo x7200
  15. The temps were fine, but I couldn't get a clear read from them all. LVNeptune kept saying the fans were working fine, but wouldn't answer if they ran auto or manually. The temps were very good though, around 55C ideal, and 73-78load Heya Joker! I see a buncha guys from laptop review forums here. Much more laid back, very awesome
  16. If only intel and sandforce would work together... That might be the end of ocz, corsair, crucial, kingston, and pretty much every other ssd. You would have to pay a premium, but you would get both RELIABILITY and PERFORMANCE. Rumors that they might work together on the next gen ssd I heard?
  17. Personally I love the design of the r3. Looks far better in my opinion than the r2/r1/18x. I like the aluminum a lot, but the plastic handle thing at the bottom looks a lil weird. I wish the r3 wasn't plastic, but sometimes you have to make sacrifices for weight. If you are deadset on having the best, get the m18x, just know ivy bridge will give it a swift kick in the ass, and you'll be wanting something new then. Or, like you said, be adult and get m17x r3, and maybe suffer a lil cognitive dissonance that you don't have the best, but you made the more reasonable choice
  18. Geoffx and vlads24 (or vads24 can't remember) were being bickering little 5-year olds on the point of getting the 485m. I told them to shut it and GTFO, but they didn't and batboy shut us down. The new thread doesn't seem to have much going on, they contacted Nvidia, but of course got no reply. So far, the 485m works with the 120hz screen, but not with 3d, and fans have to be set manually with Hwin32 <--(I think that's what it is called?)
  19. Apparently the current shipment of chassis has a defect and are not up to standard, according to my rep. My EDD was tomorrow, and was supposed to ship out today. Apparently, my new EDD is 5/12. This kinda BLOWS.
