As it's a gt683 it has the turbo fan touch button which I use, I also have fan control tools by Pherein v1.0.4 which I used for my gtx 570m to increase the fan speed even more but don't need it for the 770m as it doesn't run hotter than 70C load for me. I didn't need a new heatsink as I already had 570m, I bought the card from ebay for 429 bucks which is around 300 euros.

I guess it has to cure before you reach the full effect. But that's just a guess as other ceramic pastes need to.

I would advice you NOT to use furmark. It's just bad for your GPU..

Just installed the gtx 770m in my msi gt683dx (16f2) I modified the 320.49 drivers and installed fine.

I've been to Egypt, and there are like a centillion electronic shops. They are everywhere weird they don't have any decent thermal paste.

1.22w/mk is the lowest I have ever seen in a thermal paste. But if your current thermal paste is dried up it would improve the temps a bit

Use gpu-z to see what clocks the GPU runs at when running games. If they are low try overclocking with msi afterburner.

Yes it will work, I bought the same one from the same seller but sent from the uk to avoid customs and tax, you'll need a modified .inf to install the display drivers.

It differs from card to card, I've just read about other people having a stable overclock at those clocks, note that this is not a recommendation from me.

1. Replacing the CPU's is very easy, just unscrew the bottom - remove the fan screw and remove the fan - remove the heatsink by unscrewing the three screws and replace the CPU. 2. No intel CPUs are compatible as it only supports AMD 3. How many watts does your current powersupply have? People have bought a10-5750m engineering samples with unlocked multiplier so that's your best bet if you want better CPU-performance.

Yeah I was shocked when the first one with 7970m was released with a crap CPU.

You will probably need a modded .inf in order to install the driver.

The gtx 770m is confirmed to work in msi's sandy bridge gaming series.

Extract the drivers you want, open the .inf file in the folder: display. driver named nv_dispi or nvts, nvtsn, nvamn(this should not matter as far as I know) and place this string under [strings]: NVIDIA_DEV.0E30 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470M" Put this string: %NVIDIA_DEV.0E30% = Section103 under[NVIDIA_SetA_Devices.NTamd64.6.1] if running windows 7 or [NVIDIA_SetA_Devices.NTamd64.6.2] if running windows 8. Save the .inf and install the driver

I thought it would use MXM 3.0 type B and not a soldered GPU as it has a gtx 765. But the CPU isn't soldered which is awesome

That's a pretty sturdy switch anti-vandal. I think it would be rather complicated to make it work as an on and off switch.

The only reason for me to understand why anyone would buy a macbook is because of the high res retina display. Other than that it's just overpriced hardware with the shittiest OS ever ;D I have to admit I'm kind of a apple hater as I think they're just pure crap.
