  1. I have finally gotten around to flashing my 970M in my DM-G and upon attempting to flash I got a ID Mismatch error. Is this a common error? I aborted the flash at this time and wish to hear from people with experience in this or @Prema himself if possible. I have double checked with maxwell bios tweaker that the ID's match and they do, however I get this error when attempting to flash. I will halt on the flashing until I hear back on this issue, thanks in advance
  2. Have you considered a P870DM-G? It's the best SLI laptop option out there right now. If your eyes are set on a P37xSM(-A) maybe @D2ultima could answer you with the differences of these machines.

    GPU Woes

I wonder what the underlying cause of the issue is. Perhaps also list your system specs including driver version and whether you are on stock or modded vBIOS. More data is always handy

Thanks. Much appreciated. Note: If it does downclock for you too. You have to disable the GPU in device manager and enable once again OR restart your computer to restore full functionality of the GPU.

Have you tried to overclock? I would love to have you test it for me. Even on a 1Mhz OC it does it. The downclock happens around where the ToS pops up before you enter the game. If I don't overclock it runs 100% fine. Any OC it enters P1 state. Would love to hear your results with an overclock since we have the same GPU!

    GPU Woes

Yes I have done that. I have also tried cleaning drivers with DDU and reinstalling.
  7. Hey Prema I posted in a thread about an issue (Titled GPU Woes). Basically... Whenever I enter Blade & Soul with an overclock (Even 1Mhz) my GPU will enter P1 state and stick at 540Mhz requiring card to be disabled/enabled or machine rebooted to go back to normal clocks. I also had this happen randomly during Dark Souls after ~2hrs of gameplay in a session. Running games on stock clocks has no issue at all. I have not seen this issue while playing DX11 games such as GTA V, KF2, Black Ops 3 etc. Basically I have no idea of why this is happening. If it's a DX9 issue (Only noticed in DX9 games so far), driver issue or vBIOS issue. Specs: P770DM-G 6700K 970M (Stock vBIOS) 359.00 Drivers If you know of why this is happening I would love to know why and how to fix the issue. Thanks in advance.
  8. I'm quite interested in this. Would love to see it working Is this limited to your Clevo model or will it work on all Clevos?

    GPU Woes

I've had my new machine for about 2 months now and I've encountered a problem with the GPU. In two situations now I have found my GPU to downclock and stick at 540Mhz. Firstly when starting Blade & Soul (Every time, even with 1Mhz OC) and secondly randomly happened during Dark Souls just 20mins ago. I can run Black Ops 3/KF2/GTA V all day long while OC'd yet I've had this random bug show in these 2 games and only just recently. Also Unigine Heaven Benchmark happily sits there looping with my OC at a happy 59/60C (On Auto fans) Could anyone shed some light on this issue? Details: Windows 10 GTX 970M 359.00 drivers Stock vBIOS +135Mhz OC on core No OC on vRAM No extra voltage added Adding +25mV voltage does not remedy the issue Even 1Mhz OC triggers this on Blade & Soul while loading (almost zero load on GPU)
  10. Hey, glad you found your way over here. I hope @Prema can help you out with this issue and have your machine back up and running.
  11. I believe the fix for this is booting into linux and changing the edid on the LCD. Guide: http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/windows-10-nvidia-whql-drivers-are-killing-alienware-and-clevo-lcd-panels.779449/page-158#post-10090770
  12. I would love to see this functional for my P770DM-G. And for it to work in every game would be beyond awesome. I hope wonders can be worked here.
  13. No I did not. My apologies. It does appear that it is for the DM series and has only recently been added to the site.
  14. That is for the 980M-G in the P77xZM-G. Prema has noted there is a slight board change along with a new ID for the GPU's in P77xDM-G therefore needing a different vBIOS
  15. https://youtu.be/NC2blnl0WTE?t=2m26s Most notable.
  16. A) Unknown Just like with CPUs and GPU's every panel is different. I have heard people getting stable 100Hz OC's. C) The P377SM-A is still a good machine. Able to house 980M SLI & 4940MX you would have no issue with this machine. (Even with a single 970M and 4810MQ you would have no issues)
  17. I believe the 4700MQ is limited to 200Mhz OC. As for the voltage it will be different on every CPU. Use trial and error to figure out the voltage for your CPU.
  18. I do feel we've gotten some poor console ports lately with rushed releases leading to a lot of AAA titles having huge day 1 bugs. This is hurting the PC market more than they think as the smart people are waiting on every title now just to see reviews of how bugged it is. I myself think "I'll buy this in a year or so when the bugs are patched" No matter how good a game looks on a trailer, or the concept of the game appeals to me I can no longer get excited for a game release due to how buggy releases are now.
  19. I've only just recently gone Clevo but for these reasons.. 1. Socketed desktop CPU. 2. More flexible warranties with Clevo resellers. 3. Better performance for money compared to other OEM's.
  20. I'd have to say my favourite that I've played to date is TERA. The action combat appeals to me whereas the simple tab>button mash just bores me. I am looking forward to trying Blade&Soul soon.
