  1. Asus tried to make something like that about seven years ago. It was called " Asus XG Station". An external graphics-hardware with an desktop Nvidia Geforce 7900. But you can imagine what happend - they failed. The idea was good but the real performance, the price and the thing that this device isnt that handy with a notebook makes it a non-starter.
  2. The MSI service is really bad. I am not the only one who say this. A friend of mine had t wait one week to get an answer from Support an then another 8 weeks to get his notebook repaired!! I can remember an BIOS update which fixes several speed problems with the fan (the fan was @100% on idle). You only got this update if you contacted the Support, otherwise not. They need 3 months to put this 3MB update public on their website.
  3. I own a Mac and a Windows Notebook. The Mac is for working and the Win notebook for gaming. Even with Bootcamp and Windows 7 installed, I would never playi any game on the Mac because its not built for that. Its perfect for business, internet, video editing, and movies because of its great display. But when it comes to gaming, I turn on my Windows power machine
  4. I dont have a GT70 but a GE60 and I can say you are right. Most of the drivers on the MSI site are very old, especially the graphics. Bad service.... I have many problems with drivers directly form the Nvidia site. I suggest you the tool "Nvidiainspector", it helpt me to play games like BF3, TES V in 1080p and high-ultra settings.
  5. MY GTX 660M runs @ 1100/3000 I played Battelfield 3 on "Ultra" (1080p/45FPS) for 2 hours and the max. temp. was 79°C I dont worry about my GPU temps, but my CPU temps are a little bit high: 90°C Not the best cooling system
  6. Hey I had the same probleme once. This was the way it worked for me (no more "Bluescreens") You need the free programm "Driver Cleaner Pro" Make sure your system is up to date, and you have downloaded DirectX 9 1. Unistall all Nvidia components (Display Driver, Experience....) 2. Restart (after that Windows will automatically install the defaut Nvidia driver for your card) 3. Go into the "Device-Manager" 4. Right-click on your graphic card and select "Uninstall". Make sure you also select the little checkbox . 5. Restart 6. Now run "Driver Cleaner Pro", select all Nvidia relevant things and click "clean". 6.5 Restart (You can if you want) 7. Install the latest NVIDIA Driver for your Card. Finish
  7. MSI GE60 0ND Intel i7 3630QM NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 2GB GDDR5 16GB DDR3 Windows 7 Professional 64Bit Upgrades: BluRay-RW 256GB mSata SSD Runs great
  8. Hello form Germany I am here because of the modded "MSI GE60 Bios". But not only because of that. In the past many suggestions from users of this site helpt me al lot, so I decided to join this community
