You have to have a modded inf for the specific driver so nvidia site wont work. If i were you i would get to know the laptopvideo2go website because its very useful for laptop gaming.

ya, thats what you do on the 6th step. I was a little worried about that step but you seem to get it. Driver sweeper: Phyxion.net - Driver Sweeper 280.26 win7 x64:Drivers | laptopvideo2go.com *for the driver and inf you have to scroll down and do the two downloads seperately

alright, to do a clean install you need to: 1:download and install "driver sweeper" 2:download 280.26 driver and modded inf from laptopvideo2go.com (280.28 doesnt work correctly) 3:uninstall all nvidia drivers installed and reboot 4:run driver sweeper and only select the nvidia-display and nvidia-physx, click the botton 'clean' and reboot when prompted 5:run the driver file you downloaded and it will extract the files. Also extract the modded INF 6:Replace the original inf with the modded one (the original INF is in one of the folders in the driver you extracted ) 7:install and enjoy your 10-20% faster computer (be sure to select 'clean install') Thas is the methodology that i do it with. Theoretically any problems you run into driver wise will be easily fixed by uninstalling the driver. I doubt theres any irreversable damage a driver can do.

*Hi, So to play a game using the nvidia gpu you need to right click on the game and use the nvidia card under the "use graphics processor" tab. You cant do this from the start menu, you either have to do it from your desktop or the game directory. *If this option isnt visible go to the nvidia control panel and at the top ther is a "desktop" menu, From there enable the setting for 'use graphics processor". *On a side note your game may already be using your nvidia card and just mistakenly labeling it as the Intel HD one. If you get decent performance this is usually the case.

hmm, Nice job nekojin. When you benchmark check the individual sections (IE:graphics and physics) to make sure its the gpu. The difference is so small that it could just be a background service or something.

From my experience (thank god gpu survived) you can push up to somewhere around 820,10x0(x = 0-8) before you start getting BSOD. A nice benefit of this mod though is that stability goes through the roof if you can keep it cool.

Umm, i have the volt mod, 280.26 driver and i use evga precision, those are the only overclocking related things i use. But you should keep in mind not all cards overclock the same, like stevenx got a solid 20mhz(stable) over me without the vmod. Try overclocking with different drivers, so far the 275.27, 275.30, 280.26 and 280.28 perform roughly the same.

Confirmed working, i just hit 825,1050 (stable) and thats just my first test. After some testing im maxing around 835,1000 any higher memory causes massive instability.

oh, thats interesting, the CPU load was higher on the run with the 280.26. Who knows maby this driver could be worth TWO points. lol

Lol, I recently had an alien marathon, a predator marathon and to wrap it up an AVP marathon. Aliens was the only alien movie i liked (saved by james cameron), the 2010 predator movie was the only predator movie i like thanks to new technology (ok, the concrete jungle was cool for its time). and both the avp movies were alright. These movies all seemed alot cooler when i was just a kid.

I remeber there was a site(tweak guides i believe) a couple (or more) years ago that did a comparison and the only NOTICABLE difference they found was that ATI has an HQ AF feature. But this was a long time ago.
