  1. Reset the cmos but still not working. Sent it away for repair. May not be the bios, could be a hardware fault.
  2. Update was supposed to improve hybrid power performance and battery life but laptop bricked. In process of doing an RMA with MSI.
  3. It was ok until i updated the bios (i've always done it on laptops and never had a problem before). Followed correct procedure on msi website and used correct bios. Flash completed ok and then it loaded up windows. But failed to start when i rebooted. No beeps when i try to blind flash. Nothing on screen. Computer doesn't access the usb. Been trying all day.
  4. hello I have a GT70 20D-039US and there's a problem with the uefi bios so computer just has a blank screen. No bios access or boot options. Fan spins. I am trying to do a blind flash to recover it but it wont work. This is what I've done. 1. downloaded the correct raid bios file E1763IMS.707, 2. renamed it to AMIBOOT.ROM, 3. copied it to fat32 formatted usb2 stick, 4. pressed ctrl & home key on power on. Nothing happens. Usb led does not flash. Also tried a cd. Am I doing anything wrong? What's the correct method?. Thank you. Note: Does anyone know where i can buy a new motherboard from?.
  5. I may be wrong. Best to just try it and see. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  6. Use throttlestop or modify the cpu settings in the power profiles. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  7. Seems alot of people listen to the fans otherwise threads like these wouldn't exist. If you have nothing constructive to say then don't bother posting. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  8. Its the on off cycling of the fans on idle on some clevos that can be annoying (p series in my experience). If gaming then louds fans are expected and shouldn't be of a concern. But If you want to also use it in a quiet office as an everyday pc then the cycling may become tedious. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  9. Reflashed it with vbios from this thread. Now goes over 993 ok. Not sure what was wrong with the other one. I am using inspector.
  10. get yourself a dell 240w psu. no need to mod it. just buy this adaptor X75 Power Connector - 7.4 x 5.08mm Female Jack to 5.5 x 2.5mm Male Plug
  11. I tried numerous thermal compounds over the years and ICD7 is definitely the best out there. When applied as instructed (pea size blob in the centre of the die) it works best. do not spread it over the cpu/gpu as that can create air pockets. Cure time is also minimal.
  12. strange thing is it doesn't crash the driver. it just wont go above 993. all benchmark tests run ok and don't crash. does the 780m vbios overclock edition posted on page 2 work on any 780m. I have MSI GT70 dragon edition 2. Thanks.
  13. clevos are cheaper than pre-built laptops. One question are you intending to use a mouse or the trackpad?. some clevos have rubber coated trackpads which are a pain to use. what's your budget?
  14. I have a vbios that has the 135 oc limit took off. Now I can set the overclock slider to +600 max if I want but card only goes to 993 core max even though slider is set higher. with the vbios posted here what core clocks can you get up to.
  15. clevos have a lot of problems with fans cycling on and off all the time at low temps which is very annoying. updating to latest ec firmware can improve things. In the end I got rid of my p150hm because of the fans. now got an msi gt70 which only has one fan and the noise is barely audible on normal usage and not that loud in games.
  16. with unlocked vbios it will only let me go to 993 core on 780m. I can set the slider on msi afterburner or nvinspector higher but actual core doesn't change. has anyone used svets vbios tuner. minimum donation seems to be 15 euros. it is any better than using the vbios's posted here.
