  1. Found a fix here : http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/fix-clevo-control-center-flexikey-not-working.817877/
  2. Everything was working fine yesterday...turned laptop on today, and for some reason the fan speed area is blank in CCC and I cannot control the fan speed at all...only thing I can think of is that windows update installed two updates yesterday which might have broken it. Setting the fan to "maximum" does affect it, but i cannot lower the speed down to 10% like before so the fans are too loud. Tried uninstalling them, but theres one update that windows wont let me uninstall because its "critical" : KB4464455. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling CCC...no dice, the fan speed area is just blank. Anyone else affected by this? Using CCC version 1.1.74 on the p650hp.
  3. I set my laptop to discrete mode, restarted, and everything looked normal...and the display adapter was set to 8 bit using the "Microsoft display adapter" But after a while it changed to 6 bit using the Nvidia GTX 1060 And the yellow tint came back Nvidia control panel has an option to change the bit depth, but it only allows me 6 bit for some reason How do I change it to 8 bit?
  4. I have tried several color profiles and color calibration, but theres still a yellow tint ontop of everything. Took a screenshot and sent it to my old laptop, and the colors there display fine, so I think its the monitor.Any ideas on what I can check for? So far I have had people suggest that its a backlighting issue or that the monitor cable is loose, neither of which sounds simple to fix...Have tried :-Updating drivers-Color calibration-Color profiles from other notebooks with the same monitor-Setting the laptop to discrete modeAs an example : (photos taken with a handphone camera)Old laptop with normal color : https://i.imgur.com/Hk0TaGR.jpgNew p650hp : https://i.imgur.com/hj6cRGR.jpgYou can see the green has a definite yellow tint to it.
  5. I managed to figure out what the intel systems driver thing did. http://borncity.com/win/2016/12/06/windows-optional-update-intel-system-6282016/ Any ideas on how to remove it? It is not in the list of installed updates or programs.
  6. Does anyone happen to know if the high precision event timer (HPET) can be disabled in the prema bios for the P151SM1B? I can't find any such option in the BIOS, and tried emailing Prema through his website but got no response, and tried sending him a PM through the forum here. He read the PM, but disabled his forum messenger a few days later.
  7. This is for a Clevo P151SM1B. Earlier today, everything was working fine. For years, I have had Intel XTU set my multipliers to 28x so it runs at a max of 2.8 ghz. I did a windows update, and one of the updates was a "Intel systems driver" : http://imgur.com/a/W7gpY. After updating and restarting, intel XTU went back to default settings and would not load my old profile with the 28x multiplier. I was no longer able to lower my multipliers because the minimum multiplier had changed to 34x for 1 core AKA 3.4 ghz. http://imgur.com/a/UDPR3 I could not find the "intel systems driver" anywhere under programs and features or "view installed updates". System restore only had 3 restore points, none of which was before the windows update (why?!). After several hours of trouble shooting with Intel and Microsoft support reps via live chat, the response i got was : Intel : The multipliers in XTU are controlled by your BIOS, if you cannot change it in your BIOS, then your BIOS might have been corrupted by windows update. Microsoft : We can't find any windows update by that name. (I gave her the exact name as listed in the update history, but she said she couldn't find it). I tried changing the multipliers in the BIOS, but I cannot decrease them below 34x for 1 core. I can increase them (and in XTU as well), but I cannot decrease them. My normal core clock speed is 2.4 ghz but my laptop hits 3.4 ghz when the turbo boost kicks in, previously i had the multipliers decreased so that it would run at 2.8 ghz when the turbo boost kicked in, which was just fine for me. Can anyone explain what is going on here? Is it even possible for windows update to corrupt my BIOS as the Intel rep suggested? That sounds very far fetched to me.
  8. Yea ive done that, the problem is the fan is still going at a high speed The fan also starts spinning during the boot up process, and i tried disabling the dGPU in the bios but the fan still stayed on...
  9. Im using the clevo p150sm1b, and it was on the desktop idling with no graphic using programs on. Suddenly i heard the gpu fan's spin up loudly and stay on. Confused, i checked both CPU and GPU temperatures, everything was at about 50 degrees celsius, but the GPU fan was definately on at a high speed for no apparent reason. I restarted, and during the boot sequenec i confirmed that the GPU fan kicked back in and stayed on the entire time. GPU usage is at 0% now according to GPU-Z but the fan is still on at high speed.... So for some reason the GPU fan is on and refusing to shut off...i wasnt even touching the laptop at the time and the fan suddenly turned on for no reason. What is going on? Assuming the laptop is placed upside down with the back cover off, with both fans closest to you, the fan that is permanently on is the one to your left. Was previously told this was the GPU fan. P.S. Already using prema's bios mod in case anyone wanted to suggest that.
  10. The pins on mine are apparently broken so i cant put it back, but my reseller claims they need a special tool to remove the keys safely because they broke several keys trying to remove them...does anyone have a spare left alt key to sell for the P151SM1B?
  11. Yea i thought so....i dont want to buy a new keyboard but i cant replace the key as the pins are broken...unless i can find someone willing to sell me a new key.... Edit : Someone from xotic also says that they need a special tool to replace the key....thats odd...
  12. So i've been talking to my clevo reseller (Logical blue one) and they said the clips on the key are broken so i can't put it back....they tried to get a replacement key for me but found that they needed some special tool (which they dont have) to remove the keys safely because the pins on the keys would always break if they removed it and they wouldnt be able to put it back, and apparently all clevo laptop keyboards cant have their keys removed.safely without this special tool....
  13. Prema, is there any way to change the temperature at which the turbo fan gets turned on? The turbo fan kicking in at 70 degrees and staying on permanently till the temp drops below 50 degrees is driiving me crazy. And the p151sm1b hits 70 degrees on stock speeds all the time.
  14. Oh, you said in the other thread that my EC values were probably broken so i thought flashing your BIOS would help. But your silent mode seems identical to the stock BIOS values... I guess you cant change when the turbo fan kicks in/turns off?
