Hello Klem!

I'm newbie in the boosting sphere, but I want to get maximum from my old laptop. So I want to unlock bios and get vbios.

The first question is how to dump bios properly?

And the second for every y50-70 user: which maximum (for stable work ofc that won't damage my laptop) frequencies can I set on GTX 960 4GB using stock cooling system with updated thermal paste?

Thank you!

Hi!

For creating backup of your bios use attached program. Extract attached archive directly on the Desktop and run the program as Administrator (right click mouse). Program will create archive "results" directly on the Desktop. Post here or send me this archive "results" via PM, or upload it into any fileserver and send me the link.

Hi Kelm,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I would like to unlock all possible feature in my BIOS.

Please find the below link for the result: https://www.sendspace.com/file/lusd1p

The primary purpose of the unlocking is the control my laptop fan speed for gaming (it's heating up up-to 80 degree celsius while gaming ), I would like to have your suggestion in these  points,

If its advisable to control the fan speed this way, or other better way possible ?

In case I am not able to control the fan speed, I would like to revert the BIOS to its existing version, is it possible ?

And after you provide me the file how to install them ?

sorry If I am asking any stupid question, I dont have much knowledge in this regard. Thanks in advance.!!

I don't think that unlocked bios can help you with control the fan speed.

I have gone through some thread which are saying they were not able to control the speed with third-party software because of locked out BIOS option, only custom BIOS can enable them...is that correct ?

Also Lenovo Y700 have the lenovo software "Lenovo nerve sense" which enable them to control fan speed, but that software requires a BIOS update which is not available in my model.........Is there any way you can help to do so ?

      Hello everyone, it is 2020 and i've been looking literally EVERYWHERE for a modded vBios for an Asus G751jy (980m 4gb) to unlock voltage control above 25mV, can someone help me?
      I've seen people have been linking the mod so here's mine, latest 213

      Hi,
      In this thread you can post your requests for AMD-V unlock on ACER E5-553G and same laptops with AMD CPU's, for example Acer Aspire E15, Acer Aspire E5-523G, Acer Aspire E1-522, Acer Aspire E1-420, Acer Aspire E5-421, Acer Aspire V5-123, and etc.

      Now we can unlock  AMD-V function for virtualization support. In general, this method described in the article on this link: http://www.geektech.co.nz/how-to-unlock-...enovo-y700
      This way requires Windows as a system because  some tool works only in Windows.

      Download this tool: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4NHIBM...RtQXM/view
      Extract the archive H2OUVE.rar directly on the Desktop and copy the H2OUVE folder directly on the disk C:\
      Then run the Command prompt as Administrator and execute these commands:
      cd  \

      cd  H2OUVE

      H2OUVE.exe   -gv   vars.txt

      After each command press the Enter button.
      After that, you'll have the file "vars.txt" in H2OUVE folder.
      Post here this file "vars.txt" or upload it to any fileserver and  send me the link.

      For reference, here's the EFI-table with available settings for this notebook: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4NHIB...WI4LW14bE0
      And here's the setting that needs to be changed:
      0x1C40B             Setting: SVM support, Variable: 0xEE {05 91 54 02 55 02 54 00 34 12 EE 00 00 10 00 01 00}
      0x1C41C                 Option: Disabled, Value: 0x0 (default) {09 07 27 00 10 00 00}
      0x1C423                 Option: Enabled, Value: 0x1 {09 07 28 00 00 00 01}

      Hi folks,
        Greetings from Brazil!  Not sure I'm posting in the right place, but I have a question:  how do I find out the brand and model of my BIOS chip without having to open my laptop?  I can't find this information anywhere.  Been searching for days... I have a Lenovo Ideapad 300-15ISK 80RS (motherboard Paris 5A8).  Thanks a lot for your time and help! I really appreciate it!   Best regards,   JC.
