Alienware and Bigfoot Networks just officially announced that the M11x r3, M14x, M17x r3 and M18x are now officially configurable with Bigfoots Bigfoot Killer Wireless-N 1103 WLAN card.

This should provide a nice boost in wireless transfer rates compared to other cards. Maybe it also gives you the couple of milliseconds less ping you need to strike faster in FPS. (Though a true gamer still uses ethernet for gaming imo :))

Also it comes with a nice software interface for configuration and tweaking, some screenshots can be found in this thread.

It's already available on the Dell configuration site, for the M11x and M17x it costs additional $80, for the M14x only $30 more... No option so far on the M18x configuration page.

Great find! +rep

I was just thinking that it would be a great fit to add that card to Alienwares and here they go and do it. Nice! :)

I still want to see some benches of this card, so waiting for @Aikimox to tell me when he gets them.
