I know this is an ancient thread but I wanted to post that following these steps I was able to flash this custom BIOS today. The only step I had to improvise was creating a bootable DOS USB. the link in OP was dead so i made one using RUFUS - (FreeDOS method). Other than that all links and steps worked perfectly. y510p with SLI 755m cards. my BIOS was on 3.05 before starting. Make sure you enable BIOS downgrading in BIOS before starting and make sure you switch boot preference from UEFI to Legacy and then Boot Priority to "Legacy First" so that it boots from the USB.

Ran benchmarks with Heaven 4.0 and both GPU's ran well. And I was able to install a new wifi/bluetooth card which was the reason I did this. So, thank you OP this was a great guide.

I am trying to get from V3.08 -> V3.05 on Y410P.

Hi!

But why you want to downgrade your bios version?

I am planning ahead to help a friend mod his BIOS on a Y410P that has a whitelist that is preventing him from using a different wifi network card / boot with a GT755M in the UltraBay. It looks like I need to be on 3.05 in order to follow the tutorial on page 1. I actually think I found a zip that has V3.05. The plan is to use a CH341a to make a dump of both the UH52 and UH53 chips on board to preserve the current BIOS and EC, Then using MS-DOS to downgrade V3.08 -> V3.05 after which I can make a dump and use the BiosFixer tool to mod the bios and reflash the BIOS to V2.07 then finally back to V3.05 modded and have the extra BIOS menus and the whitelist removed.

After that we are going to try to take a GT755M and replace the resistors on the ID stack to make it match a GT750M since they are really hard to source and then flash the VBIOS of the GT755m to match that of the GT750M and see if we can get SLI to work.

There is a lot of work that needs to be done because the laptop is currently sitting on Windows 10 and a lot of things don't work and I'm not sure we can even get what we want to happen without first dropping back to windows 8.1. I'm not familiar enough with these laptops to know if UltraBay even works with windows 10. On top of all that there is apparently SLI and non SLI versions of these laptops? (Which we don't know how to identify).

I ran some tests and found in Linux if you hot swap in the GT755M into the UltraBay (Since the laptop won't boot if you first start with it inserted) it attaches as a SCSI device. We have ended up following a rabbit hole trying to get this to work, We could not even get a card that would fit this laptop and had to trim down the plastic bezel to make it happen.

I was able to Downgrade from V3.08 to V3.05 Modded, Next up is to modify the ID Strap on the GT755M. The resistors I ordered were the wrong package size I needed 0402 but ordered 1206 by mistake, Write up / pictures coming soon.
