Re-paste is the only permanent solution. Fans, propping up the lappy, air cleaning are just secondary methods.

I have the exact same issue with my R2. I cannot overclock more that 1000Mhz core. Anything above 1000Mhz core I get this driver fail message. CPU temps normally reach 67~69 celcius and GPU around 58 celcius when the crash occurs. Please advice....

I'll wait for the official reveal at E3. My first impression is not a good one...Lucky I have my M14XR2, who knows when these will be phased out.

Thanks. I downgraded to A11 from DELL official bios. Then used the unlocked A11 to flash. I'm over the moon with the new overclocked core of 1100 Mhz. Sweet !!

I have an M14X R2, with GT 650M GDDR5 (2GB) card with BIOS A12. Please refer the attached Link to BIOS file. Would highly appreciate if you can mod the BIOS A12 with overclocked settings. Many Thanks in advance.

Excellent sequel to Metro 2033. Now this is a very well optimized game. I have an M14X R2 with GT650M GDDR5 2GB, and 8 GB RAM. It runs fluidly with average 50FPS on high settings at 900p. I'm in 3 hours and loving every moment. Definitely worth trying !

Game runs flawlessly on my M14X R2 with GT650M overclocked at 835MHz at Ultra settings without TressFX enabled. Awesome Game!!

Scratches appear on CPU or GPU if you do not use a proper cleaning agent. Its best to put few drops of alcohol and let it "eat" the paste. Then start cleaning it off with a lint free cloth.

I replaced my 750GB HDD (7200rpm) with a 512GB Crucial M4 SSD. It has helped bring down the temperature as well as excellent boost in performance. Well worth it !!

Could you please recommend what software to use for overclocking GPU? Currently I installed MSI afterburner and it seems that volt mod is still locked?
