  2. No! Do not try! Your laptop is 4x generation. There are no bioses for the new generation of MSI laptop.

For example, laptop was released from the factory with DOS or Win7, but now you use Win8. In this case you should use bios for Win7. But if your laptop was released from the factory with Win8, but you now use Win7, then you should use bios for Win8. Cross flashing is possible, but only with programmer device.   12. Yes, that right, the bios do not must show you any change. I change only temperature table for fan, as you ask, i reduce fan speed when temp is low.
  13. If your GT60 does not correct work with new 780M or 880M, you can try flash bios 30P or 51X. Much guys this thing was helped. You dont need to change anything in this bios for compatible with 7xx or 8xx card.

  15. EC Firmware for your laptop you can find on the MSI website. Just download it, and then flash it in to your laptop. Then just look the number of version EC Firmware in bios setup menu(on the first page "Main").
