Ah, thanks @octiceps and @J95. Going to try the new RTSS version posted here... http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=5348254&postcount=174
Will test the final version of MSI AB after release to see if it is still crippled with 100mV max.
Nope, Install the latest RC instead (updated RTSS) http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=5349365&postcount=185

Just install AB RC...
QuoteMSI Afterburner 4.3.0 RC distributive has been updated. MSI Afterburner itself is exactly the same build 9267 as in the previous RC with no changes, but bundled RTSS 6.5.0 distributive has been upgraded to newer build 8709 (also available as separate download a few posts above). I'm rather satisfied with testing results so most likely this RC will be submitted to MSI for release on Monday.

I have tried the modded 368.25 and the 372.95 but no luck.
Optimus model? You must fully disable iGPU (BIOS), if it still doesn't work then disable the sound card. RS1 messed up both Sandy & Ivy bridge laptops.

This is raidriar over from NBR. I've been using your modded drivers for a long time with 780M SLI and now I try with the 980M SLI. I have a very weird issue in windows 7 when using the latest drivers. Whenever I am doing light work (browsing, typing, navigating windows, etc), the driver freaks out and crashes randomly (black screen for 3 seconds, revert back, says nvidia kernel driver crashes). I reverted to the 353.00 throttle free driver, and the issue is gone. I've tried several drivers from the 36x.xx and 37x.xx branches, all give me this issue. Any ideas?
Delete the proper folders before installing drivers, also uncheck "Hardware Acceleration" for Chrome, Firefox & Thunderbird.

I am reading through some of your posts trying to figure out how to get my modded laptop on. I came across this topic where @DynamiteZerg had success with a GTX980 in a Dell M6800. My situation is similar as I have a M6700 with a GTX 880m but so far no luck with installing the drivers. I am wondering what might be the problem - the OS, the card itself or the platform? Windows 10 x64 shows it as Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, but in GPU-z I can actually see the correct name. Would the above mentioned method work for me as well? If that is so, can you reupload the files (getting error messages)?
Use nv_dispi.inf for Alienware Laptops from HERE , please follow the instructions to the letter. Just skip vBIOS flashing.

@Mr. Fox I've tried every AB supported voltage controller with no luck, Clevo probably used a cheap voltage controller without I2C programming support. Still, AB's KBOOST is properly implemented, unlike Precision X triggering debug mode. No one at EVGA can hold a candle to Unwinder when it comes to programming skills.
