Jimbo replied to mw86's topic in Clevo Reviews & Owners' Lounges
Sorry mate, I must have forgotten that by the time I finished @svl7 AFAIK the clevo p150/sager np8150 Is what you're describing, 6970/485, 15.6, SB etc. No backlit keyboard though (still!!). -
Origin PC Eon17-S Sandy Bridge 4.5Ghz Overclock
Jimbo replied to mw86's topic in Clevo Reviews & Owners' Lounges
Isn't it just a clevo P170 with a big overclock? Impressive though, 4.5ghz on a laptop.... -
As you'll see from my sig, I'm definitely a desktop fan. Just that I'd heard about these boards a while back, they cost loads and 1366 is a dying socket. On the flipside, they look great, and have some really cool features depending on what gear you already have.

Nah, you sound more like a mod at NBR.

Interesting/amazing/amusing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjA5faZF1A8 And some downright funny ones - Ok, so I got slightly carried away, but they're all worth it...

HDD options: 2x750gb RAID0 or 2x256gb SSD RAID0 That's it. Fail.

They've done the usual crap of upgrading useless things to justify the price. I mean really, does a 1.5gb RAID 0 volume really sound like a sensible base option to anyone? Alienware M18x Laptop Details

Can we have stock M17X benchmark scores posted w/ OC'ed scores?

Hi mate, no problems asking questions, that's what forums are for! SLI and Crossfire are getting MORE popular, not less, so the chance of any new games not supporting it is practically 0. -
Tablet would be nice to use as e-reader, My mate has a sony and it's great, but I already have enough devices, I'm looking to replace, not add to. Also good as a media player etc, but primarily for browsing. If there's something else out there that gets 16hrs battery life, weighs less than 2.5kg and costs less than $600USD, I'm all ears. EDIT: And I'm not gonna lie, tablets are still very rare here, I could bask in nerd glory for months!

Don't think so, just have a look at hwbot, the 2600k boys are all stuck at around 102-107 (x57 for 5.8-6ghz). If there was any way to shut it off, they'd have found it.

4th ftw! Perfect length.

I think it's more likely the integrated gpu. Hope it goes well for you.

Even if it did have 2x1gb it would be faster, Vram is overrated and 1gb is a fair bit anyway.

ADSL, max I EVER see is about 50k/sec. Normally lower. Trying to do something about it, not easy as we live way out of the city.

LOL, iloveb00bs I think your nick should be Obsessedwithb00bs. NP brian, just I'm on a slow connection, and I hate it when videos have humongous intros. Even 13 sec is more than fine, just when it takes 5 mins to load a 1 min clip, every second counts. For you fast bastards, I'm sure it's no problem at all.

Just wondering if anyone had seen this/planned to buy one. With 16hrs battery and a docking keyboard/battery it looks intriguing. I might pick one up to replace what my eeepc does now. Asus Eee Pad Transformer Review - Asus Transformer TF101 - Eee Pad Transformer EP101
