  1. Now i'm waiting AKitio moves with Node. I think Apple will not make its own eGPU but will not stop its development.
  2. Hi all! I will try as soon as possible new Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter they announced few hours ago. I really hope i can use my homemade Akitio eGPU with Nvidia 970GTX on my MacBook Pro 13" 2016 which i've ordered! I will post here my result, do the same if you can try it sooner than me http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MMEL2AM/A/thunderbolt-3-usb-c-to-thunderbolt-2-adapter?fnode=e09572c8ad662aab9372157e6c5dcb44a2b44e8e4960abe33ae51a78ac7c22dc5cb8482fc3bf74c8ef78faa5e3cc9bd0617e305f74aeb2ff79df0a8df9b311188dee46443435dbfc5beafe024c53a502fccecfedeba94a6629caf65f1a1f6e0f It would be awesome if we would be able to use our TB2 eGPU without issues.
  3. Experienced the same, newer games running much better, but BL1 Goty was quite slow and choppy
  4. Very interesting Really hoping to to see this display to come to life but I really hope to see a simpler solution for eGPU on macOS
  5. Hi all I'm selling my lovely eGPU and one potential costumers with an iMac late 2015 asked me if he can use it as simple accellerator for his professional software like After Effects and Premiere. Can you provide more information? Do I still need to install automated eGPU script? Anyone tried this, can you see the boost using it as an external accellerator and keeping using iMac 5k display as always? thanks all for the help!
  6. I've added this http://www.ebay.it/itm/271967755577?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  7. Added thermal sensor for silencing the frontal fan when the card is cold. it will start to blow hot air away when app are demanding gfx power.
  8. Hi! But it not so easy because i modify the powerplug pciexpress to be lateral. So with a newer card you should solder the pic power plugs like the second image. Very easy. The only card would fit this would be 1060
  9. If anyone is interested i'm selling my beloved eGPU for 650€ One cable for power, all inside AKitio, modded 970 4GB.
  10. Now running with 10.12 beta and Nvidia beta drivers! Everything is super!!! Added final setup photo (protected the ventilation holes)!
  11. I'm running 10.12 beta with latest Nvidia driver thanks to goalie script but the rendering seems on CPU, super slow with glitches. I have a Nvidia GTX 970
  12. From the ATX plug the Dell-AC2 power the graphics card, the frontal fan and also the Akitio box. Soldering is needed, we removed the barrel and powered the akitio motherboard directly
  13. @lucas979797 Yes, do you still need it? It runs in 4K on a LG UltraWide. 2xAA? And finally photos of my implementation (did with a friend of mine who is a super expert) Just one plug for power, a frontal fan and connected the PCIe power with one cable The box works ok closed thank to a new 1cm fan in the front of the box. Anyway its get too hot so i'm planning to put bigger fan in the gfx card and makes big holes in the chassis.
  14. Is it a know issue?
  15. Created adhoc Dell AC-2 power adapter now the GFX card works better! 1545 score in Valley in Ultra 4k!

For example i left my Mac mini few hours ago since i needed to go to bed, this morning the Mac mini was turned off. Can it be a kernel panic? Can it be sleep mode? Any hint? Thanks so much!
