Yesterday I tried to overclock the 7970 m , received 1000/1500 / 1,075V , however 20 minutes later the core temperature up to 81C and GPU lowered the frequency to the level 300/450 . If not the cooling can achieve better results

Have you tried flashed the GPU BIOS ?

Also You need heatsink, becase AMD and NVidia is different
