  1. Ok first of all thanks to svl7 for all his efforts. I own the 750m Sli model. I flashed the BIOS and now my EC and BIOS stand at 3.05 with everything unlocked. Next up I flash the ultrabay. I used the same USB disk used for the BIOS mod. The VBIOS I used was 750mOC from the file "Ultra Bay VBIOS for [v3.05]_modified". Flashed succesfully but in device manager, GPU#1 has an exclamation mark (GPU2 is fine) and with nvidia control panel throwing an error " No nvidia GPU attached to display...". I tried to flash again by changing the vbios' name to 8 characs and this time it worked. I undervolted and played Dead Rising 3 for 30-40mins until GPU1 reached 97C. It didn't crash like before it would within 15-20mins. I thought well the flashing process was done and dusted but I was wrong, I restart and again I get an exclamation mark to GPU1 with nvidia control panel throwing the same error. Am I doing something wrong? And why is my ultrabay GPU designated as GPU1 and internal as GPU2 (Hwinfo reports that too)?
  2. Someone elaborate on this. Is it ok to undervolt with factory bioses from Lenovo?
  3. Could you please seed if you still have it.
  4. Could you or anyone else elaborate on that? Do you mean you could disable SLI and run of iGPU without taking out the ultrabay?
  5. Hello People Ali here, long time lurker first time poster. This indeed is a great find. From what I've gathered the matte screen gets 80-83hz and the glossy ones 100+. Sorry for my noobish queries...but will the 80hz or 100hz have that surreal effect we have in our 120hz tvs in movies and tv shows?
  6. Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum and wanted help regarding my card. I read in here and in other forums about the ES of 6970m being flashed to 6990M. I have a dell precision M6600. The laptop comes with a Firepro M8900 which is a renamed 6970M. The other day as I was repasting it, I took some pictures just for DIY. I read svl7's posts from before and as I check my M8900 has a black PCB and Hynix memory chips (gpuz). Sadly I did not take any pictures of the front as all the part number stickers were on the back, So I don't know if it is an ES version or not. Need help identifying and flashing it to 6990M if it is an ES version. Regards P.S: This is a refurb unit. imgur: the simple image sharer
