    NEWS from Computex 2015

Truthfully, I would like MXM 3B SLI in 13.3", which is physically perfectly possible. You do not have to sacrifice or shrink nothing, maybe except intermediaries profit.

    NEWS from Computex 2015

    I was hoping for an X99 5960X/E5 V3 & 1080M MXM 3B SLI in 15.6".
  3. I'm not talking about the same speed, whether ergonomics of M.2. I think that storage should use directly the PCIe, and not another controller.
  4. Probably, any big reseller, did not want to pay for this. As Prema wrote. DIY only. That's the Clevo charm. I just hope that the P570WM successor will have the M2 slot only.
  5. Should work with Dell or Clevo vbios.
  6. Look for another dgpu. Best GTX970M or K5000M/GTX680M.
  7. Sh1nRa358, Clear cmos (nvram) and try 12-12-12-36.
  8. Some photos of the cooling system. MSI GT80 Titan Laptop -internal shots from pre-retail sample | KitGuru
  9. Moving the keyboard to the front without utilization of additional space behind the keyboard for fan/air intakes prove the lack of imagination of Compal/MSI designers. But this is nothing new. For a proper operation of the GT60/70 cooling system it was enough to connect with short thermal bridge the two close to fan located radiators. Designers connected with a long thermal bridge the GPU and CPU heatsinks.
  10. As far as the black paint is not graphene based, such heatsinks-heatpipes combination has no right to work well.
  11. KBC-ITE IT8518E for P375SM KBC-ITE IT8587A for P375SM-A
  12. There is no need. Your system, although the best of the series P1xxxM has been locked against dGPU upgrade. The other hand, replacement of the CPU for faster one (i7 3940XM) is pointless because of high temperatures due to the lower (than the previous generation) chip surface. The only thing I can recommend in your case is purchase of the i7 2960XM.
  13. On PC motherboards PCIe slots are remote from the processor up to 15-25 centimeters (10") and works perfectly. Clevo certainly gave to cope with this problem. Unnecessarily I got into a polemic regarding the use of fiber optics on the motherboard. This is not the topic of this thread. I have no desire to read more of your wisdom about it.
  14. Service manual for P1xxSM is available on this forum. Find a MXM diagram and check yourself. Since two server motherboards could be connected by QPI, PCIe or Ethernet using optical fiber, rather you can do the same way to connect GPU and CPU. This is not technological or economical challenge, for military use only. I would also be frustrated if I had cut to pieces the cooling system in my laptop, and then I found out that was enough to connect two radiators using a thermal conductive pad. Therefore, I forgive you. Optical fiber or not, it does not matter. What matters is the wrong way to connect the thermal bridge in P750ZM.
  15. A distance (long traces) is a problem (capacitance and resistance) for CPU-GPU line/bypass only but may have You heard something about the optoelectronics and optical fibers?
  16. Since creator of the quadro vbios did not foresee this possibility means that optimus is a great Intel's fake. Enjoy, that it's not there.
  17. No matter how you connect both radiators there will be better than you connect CPU and GPU.
  18. This is probably P7xxZM cooling system. What a pity. Clevo engineers repeat the same design flaw as Compal's and Quanta's. Namely, cold<-hot<->hot->cold system, rather than hot->cold<->cold<-hot. It can not work well. The heat must escape to the outside as soon as possible (only through the radiator) and does not heat the remaining elements. Clevo! The hot->cold<->cold<-hot system has the same thermal inertia mass as cold<-hot<->hot->cold, but it will be better drain heat outside.
  19. 15.6" case with desktop CPU and SLI GPU MXM slots with full PnP compatibility. Exchangeable casing, cooling and main board in a standard format, as in the PC microATX. The (internal USB standard) exchangeable keyboard in the front, in place of the palmrest, with touchpad and the numeric block in one, as in the new MSI GT80. Sucks air through the perforated palmrest and around the keyboar, from the top. Monoblock heatsink for the CPU and GPUs graphene coated placed under the palmrest and keyboard. One suction, centrally-rear located, axial fan with ceramic-neodymium bearings, magnetic coupling and two independent motors. Case integrated power supply. All external I/0 ports on independent and interchangeable boards. Exchangeable QHD screen with a wide color gamut (> = 95% NTSC). No ODD and HDD standard. mSATA/PCIe interface only. 2x EC/BIOS in one externaly programable chip.
  20. I hope that the weight and price will not differ significantly from the P157SM.
  21. I think so. Just need to modify drivers inf.
  22. It seems to me that we do not need new bios mod for P570WM.

    970M pic for MSI

Probably the same chips and pcb in both GPUs. Can someone get 4GB GDDR5 chips?
