Confused with 980M in P170EM

Hi.

I just bought the 980m and I'm going to install it today.

I read that the 980m will have 20% less power in a Overclockeable driver?

I'm going to install the Vbios from Prema and I already have the lasted Prema Bios for P170EM.

Will I need also to mod the drivers to install it?

The latest drivers are overclockable and are not a problem. The 20% loss was only true for older overclockable drivers.

Where can I find the modded .inf driver 350.12 for my P170EM? I cannot find here.

I have the P170EM and just installed my 980m. I can confirm it's working at 100% with 350.12.

The driver from NVidia didn't work without the modded .inf. I got my modded .inf here: LaptopVideo2Go: Drivers.

You can find the modded inf file here: just pick up the inf file, download driver from nvidia (drivers in the link are optimised for image quality). Run the nvidia installer, it will unpack the archive in C:\Nvidia...\350.12; then copy/paste the inf file into the "display.driver" folder (you will have an overwrite warning, if not, you're in a wrong folder)). Don't forget to disable driver signature if on windows 8. And run the setup.exe. Reboot. Done.
