  1. I have the same exact card so I know exactly what you're talking about. Before using an unlocked BIOS, I used MSI Afterburner and anything over +135 core and +300 memory overclock would bluescreen me, Try the link here http://forum.techinferno.com/alienware-m14x/3214-m14x-r2-physx-fps-drop-fix.html along with the unlocked BIOS or else the card will limit itself basically and either dial itself back on its own after your laptop hits 67 Celsius. This is because the main processor heating drastically affects the heating of the GPU on these laptops. Hope it works out for you, and don't forget to turn off the "Turbo Boost" option in the BIOS as well.
  2. Your best friend for knowledge is the search tool, Seach for Slv7's thread on the A11 BIOS unlock if youd like to really see a nice power increase with instructions, Everyone here is friendly and will point you in the right directions.
  3. Honestly go to your local computer store (or even staples honestly) and pick yourself up a cheap usb cooling pad, thats what I did awhile back and it was worth it. under $20 and it brings my temps down 5 celc or more. Which in my eyes is more than worth it. Cheers!
  4. Honestly after owning many ASUS ROG high end laptops and recently a few Alienwares, my M14X R2 was worth EVERY single penny, and once you unlock the BIOS? Forget it.... its out of hand performance wise once you get everything set how youd like it.
  5. Currently I use my 30gb SATA along with configuration with the Intel Rapid Storage Technology software and it works wonders with maximizing your larder main HD's speed and power.
