  1. From Amazon review - "This is probably the best bluetooth mouse on the market except for one fatal flaw. After just 2 or 3 seconds of inactivity, the mouse goes to sleep. When you try to move the mouse again, there is a slight delay for the bluetooth connection to be reestablished. There is no excuse for this setting to not be user changesble! I would much rather the sleep delay time to be around a minute and loose some battery life than to constantly be annoyed by a hesitant cursor every time I stop to read something on the internet. They could probably easily fix this with a driver update, but it hasn't happened yet. If you go to Razer's website and go to the Knowledge Database for the Orochi, three of the four problems are this delay. So they know its a problem but haven't fixed it. Their solution is to use it in wired mode. HELLO!! I bought a very expensive WIRELESS mouse. Anywho, I have returned this mouse. I would repurchase it if they fix the delay problem."
  2. I've heard that the orochi goes into a sleep mode after 2sec of inactivity when in bluetooth mode, is there a way around this now, or does it not bother you?
  3. I know what you mean, I've got boxes of old bits EVERYWHERE. Anyone want half a tube of ten year old thermal grease?
  4. If he does beat you, pick the M18x up and walk away. I mean, it's a laptop, saying it's beaten by desktops is to totally miss the point. $700 for dual gpu, cpu, mobo, ram isn't much these days though, I think you should win most tests.
  5. Welcome brothers Congrats on your M14X Quethas, and nice avatar you've got there.
  6. Thanks for getting it up so quickly Brian, fyi you transposed which model was 16:9 and 16:10, no biggie. Looks stunning! Somehow not as gigantic looking as I expected.
  7. Yes, as long as it doesn't delay the M18x review/comparison with M17x R3. Those of us deciding exactly what to order need to know! Congrats on being first Brian, someone uploaded a boot video a couple days back, but it's sh*t.

  9. 24/12/1982 One more day and I could have ended up with a very unfortunate name
  10. Hey littleone, did you order from the Aussie site or through a mailing service/hidevolution etc? I'm ordering mine soon, can't wait! Where in Aus are you? Nice spec BTW, first I'm aware of with the 2820. Just so you know, those seagate hybrid drives have apparently had problems in RAID 0. I'm not 100% clear if it's model specific or not, but a couple of guys on the x7200 owners lounge at NBR ended up switching them to caviar blacks because they couldn't get a stable OS.
  11. Yay!! This is what I was hoping for, returning won't be an easy option for me. Edit: xtx...hmmmm... 6990m quad crossfire ftw!
  12. Yep, in fact DDR actually stands for Double Data Rate.
  13. No, but I never posted much there, just lurked in glorious ban-free anonymity From what I saw, it wouldn't have taken me long.....
  14. WTF? How will you read anything written in a reasonable text size?
  15. Not sure about SATA isssue. and yeah, it seems to increase the speeds slightly for me. It's just a run once and forget, you don't need to keep it open or anything.
  16. Does seem very low... I use this program, very handy. Elpamsoft.com - Home of the SSD Tweaker for Windows
  17. I would add 4.5 Make sure the drive is set to run in AHCI mode, not IDE.
  18. Wasn't sure where to post this, maybe we need a benchmarking/rankings section? PCMark 7 | PCMark My score: Result
  19. No, but I'm pretty sure Xotic and other clevo resellers will
  20. Not trying to spam or anything, I've never actually used a mac....... What is the benefit here? I'm assuming you'll be dual booting or running on a virtual machine? What tasks is it better suited to?
  21. Well, you are running a 6970! Nice scores though, you're nearly matching my desktop!
  22. OH, MY GOD, YES!!!!!!!! It was these features that drove me to alienware, I was (I say understandably) biased against them because of desktop pricing, but the laptops rock + I can get them from US + I won't have to send it back there at a cost of $500+ for any & all warranty claims.
  23. No, you're not mistaken, they are a clevo reseller, not really any different to the other resellers, except they all offer slightly different customizations & upgrades.
