  1. Asus g75vx, I am unable to dump ME... Error 26. Asus should not require unlock?
  2. Sidenote: I did not brick with Prema's... It works without issue. I see a lot of people bricking when using ftk because they choose to ignore the file size mismatch. Also, I was getting file-size mismatches like crazy at 206 until I backed up my existing bios and flashed it back. Then I had no issues flashing the backup with alternate vbios. I really don't know how people brick their devices so easily.
  3. I have removed this as some people cannot read it entirely and decided to flash mismatched bios filesizes.... Thank you, --Joshua Norman
  4. I am so sorry I got to this post so late. I found the method to recover from 206 to flash modded bios... As a disclaimer. I do not recommend anyone try this, it has worked for me but I cannot guarantee the same results across the board... I messed up originally attempting to flash my own custom VBIOS to the 204 bios from Asus. This was a terrible idea and led to an unknown MXM Module in my bios. In order to recover I flashed to the ASUS 206 through EZ flash rescue Ctrl+Home feature. From there I could only "see" Asus based bios as valid bios image. Then I completed a winflash /nodate back to the stock 204. Yet I still could only "see" Asus based bios as valid bios image. We were stuck at this point and it was very frustrating and trying... Low and behold, I found the way to "see" modded bios as valid again by simply completing a backup of my 204 and then reflashing that backup via... fpt -d backup.rom -bios -- fpt -f backup.rom -bios After that when I attempted a custom 204 bios with a modified vbios from a friend I no longer received the filesize mismatch. That is when I decided to fpt -f that custom bios and can now OC! I an only hit 825 core and 2600 memory but hell it is a start and a 5200 3dMark 2011. Hopefully all of those steps are clear. Best Wishes to whom this can help! -Josh
  5. Sure. They did something to the effect of where any unofficial asus bios does not look the correct size to winflash or other third party flashing software. Let us say I downlod 203, 204, 206 from the support site they will flash. Let us say that I download any of them and then extract the vbios and then replace my modified vbios where the vbios was and try to flash, it will fail. Even though the sizes are identical and nothing else was modified. It claims a size mismatch which means Asus did something weird because before 206, this was not the case. Best, --Joshua Norman
  6. DO NOT FLASH .206. Asus did something really screwy... Apparently out of what I can see now when ever custom bios mods are attempted, all write methods claim invalid bios. Even if the sizes are identical it will claim a mismatch. Best, --Joshua
  7. Klem is brilliant and so is svl. Both have been amazing so far! I want to thank both of you!
  8. Yes. That shot me up to 80C - 81C During 3dMark 2011, TombRaider, BF 3 I still cap at 60C. Best, -Joshua
  9. Kind of depressed. I can only hit 1250//3100. I need more volts =-D I am only at 60C =-( under max load. P3488 3dMark2011
  10. svl7, What, if any, are the ov mods in place for this bios. Also, may we make request for custom clocks on vbios? Best, --Joshua Norman
  11. You can do quite a bit with the 660m. I have seen that the average safe clock is 1000/3000 on it. Mind you the 670m can also overclock and then surpass the 660m. The issue with the 670m is that it is not really adequate to play 3d games at the settings most enthusiasts require even after allowing the overclock. My 660m reaches a score of 3370 on 3dMark11 on stock cooling from around 2550 stock and according to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670M - NotebookCheck.net Tech that a stock 670m hits around ~3022 and an overclocked 670m hits at around 3700~3900. Due to the high OC performance and cost of the 660m and that the 670m will never adequately play 3d games I decided to grab the 660m model. As a Side note during my daily driver clocks of 1200/3125 (I have an 81% asci GTX 660m 'Not the sole determinant of higher overclocks, but can be a great indicator', wafer selection is found to play more of a role). At the time of purchase, the G75 with the 660m just matched my budget perfect and allows me to play most of my games at max settings. Mind you, your choice of games may also deter you from a MID-GRADE card. Or like me, your budget may determine your final choice. Thank you, --Josh
  12. Yes, if you have the matching ASUS BIOS Version before completing the installation of this custom BIOS you should experience no difficulties unless there is a pre-existing HW fault. I have flashed two of these and not experienced any of the issues other have mentioned. Best, --Joshua
