I've used it and it doesn't work. Can't actually boot into windows when flashed unfortunately.

As per the title, what is the best GTX 680 that uses a classic blower style cooler that isn't the EVGA GTX 680 Classified? Reason I'm asking is that I may be looking at getting on of those 90 degree motherboard cases and they don't recommend non-blower GPUs so advice

Yes that is totally normal. The card is getting board during times when it doesn't need to render anything so it downclocks to save power

Dude that's because your overclock is way too high. Your driver crashed and reverted back to original speeds because your card can't take speeds like that. Start low and work your way up.

Drops to around 221Mhz or so.

So I got some courage and flashed the same vbios that Meaker used to achieve his score, and both of svl7's overvolted ones. No go, booted fine and was able to recover. Windows gets stuck as soon as I log in so Dell cards + MSI/Clevo vbios = fail.

I might try it tomorrow. I have a spare GTX 580m/675m that I have as backup and I can always ring up Dell to get it replaced after it breaks.

Yeah that's right. At stock clocks, all is good, any change in clocks at whatever voltage, things will go from eg 854Mhz to something like 221Mhz up and down etc.

I get around that score no matter how hard I push my GPU. It just throttles. Maybe it's the card? Maybe it's the bios. I would love to borrow a MSI card to test to rule out some possibilities. Anyone got one?

And I lie again, still throttling on A02.

Actually, I lie. I saw the sliders and moving them and applying them sticks and but in actual fact, the clock speeds don't budge but I do have a work around which also disables GPU Boost by default which in my eyes is a good thing

Woah sorry yeah mind fuck A05 on the R4 I mean.

This is good, the OCedition vbios allows OC on bios A02. A10 was a bit weird in that it was too aggressive with GPU boost causing throttling etc. Now, using a method I have yet to finalise, I can run constant clocks without any problem whatsoever. All the vbioses work well. I'll request one with specific clocks after I do some more testing

I think it's something like 3 replacements within 3 months or something so warrant a new one. You are probably in line to receive a new one.
