    970M pic for MSI

Here's the actual pic of the card and the heatsink... I hope someone out there try it out soon with their MSI GT 60(16F3)/70 nb's Actual GPU was taken off from the latest MSI GT60 notebook. I hope the old (163F-GT60-ONC) is PnP also.
  3. I'm holding back a bit for me to get myself a 980m just what u said @iTzZent .. Probably early next year.. .my nb running on 51X bios steroids now lol
  4. I updated my GT60 (16F3) with the latest .51X (AHCI) and i'm still using Win 7 and its 100% working!!! Many thanks to ItzZen and klem for the file and information.. In regards when upgrading the GPU to 880 or 980M, I hope someone out there would be brave enough to check it out and test to see if these two cards are working with 16F3 (GT60)
  5. IM curious with the 51x bios origin in msi website... I cant seem to find it though but managed to update my rig thanks to you ItzZent.... But can you show link where i can find that file from msi website? thanks
  6. this is a big update compared to lowered versions... So needs to put legacy in order for win 7 to operate then.
  7. @iTzZent I cant find secure boot in bios settings. Can Help? Under Boot Mode only got Legacy and UEFI. no secure boot
  8. Do you have an unlock bios with 51x? And what does that ec firmware do? Win 7, win 8 compliant too ? I used to have the modded ec firmware but updated it with your ec firmware too... Boot mode default is legacy and or UEFI. Default is legacy. For win 8 is? Do i need to change it ti UEFI if i upgrade to GTX 780,880, or 980m models?
  9. @iTzZent I've Successfully flashed my GT60 to the file you gave me plus the firmware too!!!! btw... I'm still using Win 7 btw.. the ec firmware there is for what win operating system? Thanks again!!! i think i may have to wait for the 970 or 980m maxwell then :-).. for the meantime i'll use the hd 4000 igpu since my 680m fried out on me... overvolt :-(
  10. @iTzZent that zip file is for the msi gt60 or the barebone? mine is the gt 60 unlock bios 30u... Just wondering where you got that modded bios? the bios i got is modded by Svet. is the win 8 bios? i got the msi gt60 onc
  11. Eh guys I got a noob question though... I am planning to get an OEM 8GB NVIDIA GTX 880M .... Is this compatible with an MSI GT60 (MS-16F3) if I update the stock vbios to one of @svl7 modded vbios? I got an unlock bios for the notebook. with "Launch Video OpROM - enabled/disabled/enabled when no UEFI driver... I hope i can get a feedback asap... Thanks

  13. now thats good to hear that there are no modified driver of vbios to install the the drivers
  14. So its confirmed then. Blue or Green board is MSI compatible. Just search on ebay. some sellers post it there
  15. I saw this nvidia gtx 680m with 2gb mems from dell manufacture in ebayr. Question is, is this compatible with msi GT60-ONE. My current 680m 4gb died out on me and I need to replace it... I hope someone can answer my question fast.. ThanksI
  16. Will a "30U" bios do if i upgrade my msi gt60 to an nvidia gtx780m or 880m? @Klem what in the bios settings to change manually? I have an unlock bios done by Svet. the 30U file
  17. 1.25v vbios is the most stable. Don't go over 1.25 v or else your mxm vcard will die a fast one.. Mine lasted for 2 weeks only when i used the 1.05v vbios, then after 2 weeks, my laptop cannot detect the vcard gtx 680m anymore resulting to use the default gpu which is the intel hd4000.. Still saving up to get a new mxm vcard..
  18. I have a question though when purchasing a nvidia gtx 680m (2gb dell variant).. Can I use this vcard to my msi gt60-one edition and update the vbios to @svl7 vbios? my 680m fried out due to mod bios 1.5v overclocking. Or much better to get an nvdia gtx 780m vcard?
  19. Thanks @svl7 for the info.. When I get one, then I need to back up the vbios first before updating to your modded vbios.
  20. Hello guru's I would just like to confirm if My MSI GT60-ONE with a 240 watts ac adapter and its stock GPU/CPU cooling is sufficient enough to handle the GTX 880M. Or do I have to look for another GPU/CPU heatsink? like the ones with the GT60-2OD edition? like this one on the picture? And also, will the vbios of @svl7 universal to any brands? Just plug and play (auto install of windows drivers?) Many thanks Guru's
  21. Now I am really tempted to get myself a GTX880M for my MSI GT60-ONE. So you guys with a GTX880m vcards does'nt throttle with the modded vbios by svl7? It's nice to see those 8xx vbios series here for download :-).. But wait ... do i have to change my cpu/gpu heatsink too? tnx
  22. Good question... But you must read first @svl7' review on GTX 880m. Just look on the main page and you'll find out why.
  23. I have an MSI GT60 with a 240 Dell PSU. It works flawlessly with my 680M vcard. Due to freaking overcloking, my gpu died cos of overvolting to 1.5 volts (I should have stick to 1.25 volts file) vbios and I am opting for a GTX 780m soon. In any case you can look under MSI thread. I posted there the link where to get those 240watts adapters etc..
  24. I am curious if a Dell or Alienware nvidia gtx780m mxm card can be updated to an msi vbios nb platform? Particularly for an MSI GT60-ONE edition.. Any gurus out there can answer my query? thanks a lot
  25. It seems that 880M is still in dark waters when it comes to unlocking the vbios. Although I can see some sellers selling it at $800+. When i asked the seller if this mxm board is plug and play on my MSI GT60-ONE, he told me that it is, but I know that this gpu is heavily throttled (due to HEAT issues I guess ). Im thinking if i'll get one by the end of this year or not. If there is a no unlock bios within this year then probably i'll go for the 780M instead.
