  1. @andrzejz78 I think @Bloetschkopf was meaning the MSI's version of the GTX1070N was too big. The Zotac version is a standard MXM design the MSI GTX1070N is not.
  2. @majster msi Please let us know how you get on. Also what will be handy is if you could bench the card to see if it throttles as well as using a Hardware monitoring software that displays power draw. I can see i am going to be fighting with my inner self with the GTX1060 or GTX1070 battle of which one i should get.
  3. Did it work in the MS-16F1 if it did then it would work in the MS-16F2 as well. Yep Pascal might sadly be the last for the GT70/GT60/GT683/GT685 series. Even the GTX1070 works in the GT72-6QD some users are having success.
  4. If you don't have a G-Sync screen there is no point in flashing a G-Sync vBios. If the Original bios on the card wasn't G-Sync it will brick it.
  5. The GT72VR-6RD and GT72VR-6RE has a Gsync Vbios out now too.
  6. Sweet, Would you be able to do a big big favour for me. Do benchmarks and measure the LOAD/TEMPS/POWER for me would be interesting. Thanks for the Updates. Hopefully if you can give me the Subvendor i can contact a rep at Nvidia directly to get them added. Using HWInfo will do.
  7. Ah right, Wonder why it needs a driver inf mod???? Which HSF is that for the GTX970m or the GTX980m? Whats the temps like after benching on the GPU? Wonder if a Vbios update will solve the issue. I take it G-Sync was showing after as well? Merry Christmas BTW
  8. Nice one man, Nice one! I take it you did this yourself right? If so did you get the GT72VR-6RE Heatsink? Loving the Firestrike GT72S score it means its a great upgrade for my GT72-6QD with a GTX970m 6GB. Any issues such as random reboots or shutdowns ? Also was the card an MSI one or a different manufacture?
  9. I myself am very happy with MSI, I have had my MS 16F2 for over 4 years its still going string. I have only had to replace my GPU and Power Flex cable within that time and the power flex cable MSI tried their very best to get the part but there wasn't any stock. However I am getting a new GT72 6QD soon and so far the questions I have asked them have been quick. Some people will have unexpected issues with any brand by I am placing my trust in MSI for all my needs because my experience with them has been great. It's also been great on Here too from the members that have helped me. The only thing missing from MSI is the service for quickie divorces so I marry my new wife to be (MSI GT72 6QD). 10. So only 10c hotter underload then my current 770M, not bad might get one then after i bought my new GT72S when they come out.
  11. @doodloo are you in the same boat? If so do what I stated above not everyone will reply and say they are working again like. Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk
  12. Is that the AC version of the Intel 7260? If it is I have one that works on my MS16F2 but the speed and signal sucked big time so went back to my Killer NIC 1102.
  13. You need to take the battery and power out plus CMOS battery and then press the power button to drain it should then reset the laptop.
  14. You have to clear the CMOS but removing all power and the CMOS battery. This should then get all the options after you boot backup after putting the CMOS battery back in and power supply.
  15. Why would you want to yell at someone for trying to help Khenglish? You can yell at me if that helps. I didn't tell only suggested trying. So feel free to yell. I also stated before flashing anything to backup the vBios that was on there before messing around. I have had issues when I tried doing 7970M on my laptop. I even flashed a Clevo to a dell card to try and get it to work before flashing back to a Dell vBios as it didn't solve the issue. I also said about getting a Clevo card and even went looking for the user.
  16. Yep i think i was. If you've done the power drain trick and the GPU was fine before hand, i'd say your bios flash went wrong somewhere. PM me a copy of the bios used and i will get you the recovery file name for ya. Might help trying to fix the issue. Also another way is to remove all HDD's etc out so it forces either a USB boot or a network boot and then make a autoexec.bat to flash the file that way. Ok try downloading the original bios rom MSI for the GX740 which is .10F then call that file E1727IMS.ROM and place this on a blank fat32 formatted USB stick. Place this stick then into the USB 2.0 Port on the side where the Audio jacks are as well as the sdcard slot and firewire port. Then spam the hell out of CTRL+HOME which might also be CTRL + FN+PgUp or CTRL + Numpad 7. Hopefully this will work for you. If it does then i'd leave it on stock personally.
  17. You sure your GPU didn't crap out. Also did you do the power drain for CMOS and ec reset?
  18. I have a modded EC Firmware with a Different ramp up profile but only tops out at 95%. but you could always talked to svet to mod your EC if its needed as he did mine.
  19. OK np I will check once link is up.
  20. do you still have the original bios? i can find out what card it was from that.
  21. Just checked both GTX680M and GTX780M are rated 100wat cards. Was the card Clevo or Dell before you flashed it to MSI?. Also which MSI vbios did you flash the stock or modded one from here? I know this might seems a dumb ask but its process of elimination.
  22. What size power brick ya got. Sounding like a lack of power to me..
  23. Take the battery out and power cord. Then press the power button and press some keys to drain the power out then give five minutes then place battery back in then power back up. This is known as a EC reset.
