If the drivers are the same like before then we can safely assume that the cards are fried...

Normally it should have shut down, don't know why it didn't in case these temps are correct. In any case I agree those temps are insane and most likely damaged the cards so I would just insist on GPU replacements. BTW did you run any other benchmarks to check temps and for artifacts like 3DMark11 or Unigine ?

[M17x R2] with AMD 7970M CrossfireX

@imsolidstate that's correct, 15A and 19V so 285W (from the wall it must be higher, I estimate around 328W given the efficiency of the PSU is around 85%). Yeah I don't need a bridge and that's why I didn't use all the pins, just the 3 of them, but it was easier to use instead of finding and soldering separate diodes.

I agree it's piracy and illegal and Apple simply forces people do something like that... (pimping describes it better) anyways. -
Yeah I would pick up the 330W one as well due to portability. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2

On the other hand, let's say I want to experiment with objective C, iOS and OSX and simply don't want to pay for a mac book just yet. If my experience is positive then I will grab an actual Mac for development but not the other way around... Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2 -
Excellent work! once you are done with this last quirk then you will give hope to many R2 users for a nice upgrade. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2

They are powerful laptops though and good as DTRs. Gaming is just one of the many things someone can do with them. -
Well, now the bottleneck will be the supply of adequate power by the mobo...

I wouldn't mind about the sound as much as the quality and ergonomics.
