  1. Looks like it regulates from another AC PSU

    HDPLEX-250W-Hi-Fi-DC-ATX-Power-Supply (16V-24V Wide Range Voltage Input)

    Near the bottom of the gallery page (will have to click "Gallery") it has is showing an external PSU.

    Hmm, I like the idea!

    For me it's all about finding space in the Akitio Thunder2 Box and this would probably not fit.

    One part I would like to have from the HDPlex is the DC jack, I would replace the existing one for this one,

    then I would a modular thick 4-pin solution to split and hook up straight to the x16 interface and GPU.

  2. @rossysaurus

    I'm following your every move since I too have the same problems.

    My conclusion so far is that the faulty implemented power limits by Zotac starves the card hence making the voltage run up and down all over the place, this might cause problems for the DA-2(?).

    There is now a unlocked BIOS available for all most all GTX 970/980 here (overclock . net). I will test to up my power limit so that the card can have some stability w/o throttling due to power limit. Hopefully the DA-2 like this better.

    Keep up the good work buddy, I'm sure we'll find the answer to this!

    EDIT: Jesus, T|I what's up with auto censuring of URL's? Extremely annoying and childish!

  3. One more thing, and this is somewhat important to me. Can anyone confirm whether nvidia Gamestreaming works over pe4l expresscard connections?

    Good choice, I hope you got a non coil-whiny one =) (seems like the GTX900 series has a lot of that going on)

    I don't see why it shouldn't work with limelight and gamestream, I mean your system is a legit system only on a crippled bus (compared to a GEN1/2/3 x16 bus).

    I'm thinking testing my rapsberry pi as a limelight receiver since the concept is really neat!

  4. Sorry guys, I've busy with work for the last weeks. I'll update the thread with the new Beast adapter as soon as I can. Thanks @Tech Inferno Fan for posting news in the thread!

    Regarding my Da-2 + GTX970 problem:

    I had the GPU replaced and I still face the same blackout problem. Atm i can't recommend using the DA-2 with the maxwell 970 or higher. I'm currently waiting for a Thunder2Box to test with. Other variables could be the NVIDIA 370xx driver series, so that will be my next step of troubleshooting.

  5. An ANTEC 520W M (Édit : My bad, I Will give you the amperage when I'm back home !)

    So, after 2h I'm admit my defeat... i've test with 2 cards (GTX970 and 8800GT) and 2 differents PC (Asus g74x, and old MSI), the CG never pop up, I think its due to the ATX, i'm will wait for the dell DA-2 for more test.

    Did you find that amperage rataing?

    Take a photo with your phone on the ratings label so that I can check it =)

  6. Thx buddy, today I receive everything ! ATX, GTX970 and the EXP GDC V7 with ATX cable !!!, all seem to work, the GTX light UP, the PC detect something, but when i go to see if the CG is detect, there nothing new... an idea ?

    What power supply do you use?

    I'm interested in the amperage on 12V rail, should be labeled on the casing.

  7. @jjbron

    Test all combinations of saving/restoring the white listing:

    1. Saving mPCIe1 -> restoring mPCIe2

    2. Saving mPCIe1 -> restoring mPCIe1

    3. Saving mPCIe2 -> restoring mPCIe1

    4. Saving mPCIe2 -> restoring mPCIe2

    I remember having some issues myself a long time ago and I did this random attempt to make it not being stuck in "gathering resources to build screen"

    You don't happen to have any other mPCIe card you could try this method with?

  8. Hi guys. My asus g46vw has MiniDisplayPort. Will the Firmtek Thunderbolt Adapter to work? Thunderbolt and MiniDisplayPort are similar.

    The mini display port might be thunderbolt depending on your mobo revision, the easiest way to check this, before buying the Firmtek adapter, is to go to an Apple Store or similar and test it with a Thunderbolt monitor. I would not buy anything before that.
