So just to get the facts right: you take a cable from your modem to your laptop and the laptop gets Internet access without needing to dial out,right ? then you take that same cable to the Internet port of the router and it doesn't see internet? I don't think you need to mess with access point mode to make it work.

how do you get a ip from the cable modem? is it l2tp or something ? or is it dhcp ? it's really weird that it's the second one in a row with the same symptoms, must be something with your specific network configuration. lol, the reset procedure is insane

Yeah you should put paste on the memory. When I did the mod it was on a 4870 set of cards. There the memory is not coming in contact with the heatsink unless you use a thermal pad. I remember the situation is different with 5870s and you can use a dense thermal paste instead.

does it have a light on it ? Sure, it might be the charger, but it also could be the connector, the motherboard etc.. Hard to tell..

CPU is on the high side if HWiNFO32 was run right from the start when CPU was really idle. It should be around 42-44 degrees as far as i remember. GPU tems are fine

The screwdriver is 1/8", but any small phillips will do, just be careful not to strip the screws like you mentioned. MX-4 will definitely give you a 3-4 degrees improvement, why aren't you considering the retention mod ? it's quite easy to perform and does wonders to your GPU temps

Yeah, Avenger does look huge, but for people that mostly stay home with it and do not plan to take it to work and such it's an awesome option. Taking it everyday to work - no no. Moving it from room to room - sure

Finally, touched it Arrived today (thanks Stam ) taking unboxing pix now.. looks pretty awesome overall

true. and even if it'd arrive on time I wouldnt have enjoyed it because of the moving. I believe I'll have more urgent stuff to do in the months after the moving

Just to let you guys know, i am really glad i ordered the laptop in my sig. The agony of R3 vs Avenger is finally over for me and i am super happy with my decision. I hope that the nebula red looks good on the R3. Also, just ordered 8GB of 1600MHz Kingston HyperX RAM (KHX1600C9S3K2/8GX), seems like the best option for the R3. Anyone here tried it ?
