My thoughts were: Why installing a second audio driver, if you already installed RealTek audio driver? Since the driver version 270.61 I never installed the HD Audio driver again, because I see no use for it. Am I wrong?

Download the newest NVIDIA driver from the new NVIDIA R295 Thread, choose 32bit or 64bit depending on what your Windows version is. Then execute the file and the NVIDIA update programme will launch. Accept license terms and choose "Custom" installation. Uncheck "3D Vision Driver" and "HD Audio" and check the box for a clean install. Click ok and you're done.

Purchased 2x4Gb Corsair Vengeance today (read they're working good on R4E), replaced the rams with these and the system is working now. I'm not sure if it's a motherboard issue or if I fried all four sticks. Anyway I replaced the motherboard, now I'm going to RMA the G.Skill ram sticks. I can work with the 2x4Gb, it's not quad-channel, but it works.

AsusMarsIIFTWCase reconstructed: My system is complete again I improved the airflow with to faster redlighted fans (1500rpm against 1000rpm before) on the frontpanel. I switched the two harddrivebays and I have also tied the cables together so the airflow has less resistance. I did a testrun. Unfortunately the DRAM QLED lighted up, I'll look for the error tomorrow... (Pictures moved to main post)

I planned to rebuild my system either tomorrow or on wednesday. I'll keep you up to date.

That sucks...can you modify the case so it will fit properly? A friend had a problem with the graphicscard heatpipes, they were too high, he solved it with cutting the plate, which was in the middle of the case. Did you use the "HD Audio" Connector or the "AC'97" Connector? Can't see it on the picture. The connector on the motherboard seems to be connected as it should be. Did you check the connections on the frontpanel? Did you install the RealtekDriver and the SoundBlaster X-Fi? Nice build Brian Seems you had no problems with the components to fit into the case. Good work! What temperatures did you reach (GPU/CPU)? Will you repaste the GPU?

I know, I know... I will try to make some improvements, when I build my rig again. Still have a watercooler for my two MarsII in my mind, so cooling problems would be a thing of the past...
