  1. Thank you guys for replying and will update my driver soon. My unit is GT683R and has an HDMI port and I will install the HD Audio since I oftenly use my TV to watch movies or tv series. Just asked this question since my friend updated his by downloading the driver and he delete his old driver and installed the new one but before he could install the new one, he already had problems because he delete the old one. So I just asked you guys for some advice in case I would want to install my driver. Thanks again for replying, I really appreciated it.
  2. Guys, how do I update my graphics driver? What I know is the one from the device manager then update driver but I'm not sure if this is the right way to update it. And do you guys know what is currently the best driver for GTX 560m? I would appreciate anyone's help. thank you.
  3. Thank you for your time in helping me solve my problem. Anyway. What do you mean by 100% usage? I use my laptop on surfing the web and games and sometimes, some microsoft word for school work and that's about it. Nope, I don't use throttle stop because I don't know about this. How do I activate it or is there in app that I would download for this to be activated? I haven't read the manual about the turbo button but as the advertising say, it boosts about 20% of the performance and I think it overclocks the cpu but not so sure about this. I am using the OpenHardware to monitor my temps but I downloaded the CPUID HWmonitor to monitor my battery wear level. Hmm. Maybe I'll try to disable the AVG while playing games, maybe it's the one causing my laptop to lag. So you think that I should switch to MSE or to the one you're recommending to which is Panda cloud? What is DLP latency btw? Sorry, I don't know much about the things you were telling me. Really grateful of your assistance on helping me to solve. Thanks again.
  4. I tried pressing the ctrl + alt + del but it says that it fails to appear the security and logon options. Haven't tried the crtl + shift + esc though. Will try it again if ever it freezes. Btw, my friend told me that it would really freeze if you're using the laptop for more than 8-10 hours straight because it would drain the ram? Is this true? Just wondering. Thanks for replying.
  5. Umm, I have this button "turbo" and I think it overclocks the cpu? I'm not really sure what it overclocks but I heard that it boosts the performance of my laptop. My laptop is GT683R btw. Yes, AVG is my anti virus. Do you think this is the one that's causing the random freezing? Thanks for replying btw.
  6. 8gb. Other specs if you want to know: i5-2410m, GTX 560m 1.5Gb, 500gb HDD
  7. Thank you for replying. Umm, no, the mouse is still moving but everything's frozen like when I click the tabs(chrome, games, etc.) it doesn't respond and when I try to run the taks manager, an error would say that it was unable to display the task manager. I monitor my temps and the GPU doesn't go up any higher than 75 and the CPU doesn't get any higher than 75-80.

    Random freeze..

Guys, I have another problem. My laptop freezes randomly most of the time now and I don't know why but usually, it's after playing and there's no way out but to force it shut down(power button) then everything will be back to normal. Do you guys have any clues what the problem is and how to fix this? Thank you for anyone who would be kind to help me.

    Li-ion battery

Thanks for the reply mw86, made me realized a lot of things there. Just have a few questions, would it damage the battery if I don't charge it 100% and then I'll pull the charger out? Because sometimes, when I'm charging the laptop, I don't fully charge it because I have to take the laptop with me and it's not yet 100% and definitely I have to pull the plug. Is that all right? Maybe, I'll just take out the battery if I'm going to use the laptop the whole day on AC power and then plug-in the battery again if I'll be going out. Thanks for the great advice and tips, mw86. Added after 3 minutes: sorry about that. The model of my laptop is GT683R. I was supposed to buy an M14x but I couldn't wait any longer so I bought this instead and it's much cheaper.. I think? But still, I love the M14x but to be honest, this one's more practical. I got this around $1150 but it's only an i5 but still, 8gb ram, 1.5GB GTX 560M, and the speakers are nice as well. But wtf is wrong with me, while typing this message, I'm still imagining having an M14x. @-) Anyways, something came up in my mind. Is it really not possible to play games on battery? Even with the M17x and M18x? Just curious. Thanks.

    Li-ion battery

Oh. Alright. Yeap, I've bookmarked the website already. Thanks again. Hmm. Brian mentioned that staying at 100% while plugged-in in AC power wouldn't hurt the battery at all, do you agree with him? Just want to know your opinion. Thank you.

    Li-ion battery

Thank you very much for replying such a useful information. I have figured out the problem. I took out the battery when my laptop is in sleep mode because I wanted to use it on AC power since I need the AC power to play games and so I guess that is the cause of the BSoD because when I plugged my battery again, I didn't have any BSoD's anymore. Thanks a bunch. Would you still recommend to me to run this resplendence software? btw, yeap, i've read an article saying that the charge should be at least 40% if I'm going to store my battery.

    Li-ion battery

Okay, will do that. I have another problem and it's pissing me off already. I just got two BSoD awhile ago and it happened like in a row. What the hell is wrong with my laptop? I installed Dev-Cpp, after that, I kept getting BSoD. How do I prevent this stuff? I already did a memory test and cleaned everything using avg and ccleaner. What else should I do? I hate having this because it's like showing me that my laptop is some what defective and I just bought this last December 27. Please help.

    Li-ion battery

Seriously? Damn. My battery was only fully discharged ONCE since when I bought it(December) because I've in some guide that Li-ion batteries shouldn't be fully discharged since it would decrease its life and should be charged if it hit's around 10-20%. Hmm. So it's okay if I will keep it plugged in even if it's 100%? Cause I can't game on battery that's why I have to plug it in. Thanks for replying btw.

    Li-ion battery

Just a quick question about the battery of my laptop. Should I unplug the battery when it's 40% or 50% or any of the two would be fine? Or what do you think will be the best option for my battery to have a longer life? And, for example, it's 100%, wouldn't it harm my battery if I drain it until it's 40 or 50% and then take the battery out? And the other way around as well(charge it from 10% to 40 or 50% then take the battery out). Any advice from you guys would be much appreciated. Thank you!
  15. Thanks for the warm welcome. Will try it out when I already have BF3 installed in my laptop.
