  1. I was cracking up reading that. The only way you'll attempt to beat "bottle necking" is to run at a min. of 4.5 ghz, which Clevo ain't doing. So you sir, are bottle necking. And I know a few people that have Clevos and we tested the theory already.
  2. 3DMark11 - P15801 [LINK] Hardware Rank #1 / Global Rank 257th Should be. 3DMark11 - P15081 [LINK] Hardware Rank #1 / Global Rank 257th
  3. You should be able to flash right back up using the normal method now, but once back on a03, you will need to do the 130 beeps to go to anything else again.
  4. Can hardly wait for this. So far, it's very very hard to find people who have fully explored this chip. I may have to grab me one pretty soon just to see what it's capable of. That and to get my memory to run at 2133 and higher and pcie 3.0.
  5. you remember the guy in the clevo thread who had the x7200. DGDXGDG or something or the other. remember he did those super mods to his 580m's? i was trying to find that thread. bottom line..he did all that extra modding and it looked great and seem to be unstoppable...till an alienware came by and smacked that mod silly. with his modded psu and cards. http://www.3dmark.com/compare/3dmv/3870295/3dmv/3404152 here goes some of his mods. http://s1086.beta.photobucket.com/user/DGDXGDG/library/
  6. yeah, that's not "in action" that is lying still. seen that, just waiting for the factual numbers to show up. just dont want it to turn out like that last clevo memory mod done on a 580m.
  7. chances are very good it is the vbios. but you want to be able to see the card should you flash it. once you flash it in the msi, chances are it wont boot anymore till it's put in the alienware. speculations of course.
  8. well, i skimmed through and see clyde did this awesome mod, but when i go to look to see it in action, i see nothing. am i missing something? point me to this mod in action. even with a stock vbios this mod should still show memory improvement.
  9. Just out of curiosity....How many versions of XTU have you tried?
  10. Not really sure what point your trying to make. Since we were the first ones to do the blind flash from an A08 to A03 to A03 Unlocked To Unlocked A08. Unless your trying to point out some moot point about punctuation errors.
  11. and as of todays date, that would be in correct information. 135 beeps later you will be on a03 bios, then 30 more beeps later you'll be on a03 unlocked bios. roughly.
  12. last thing to try. if you have the unlocked bios, then you can do this. under the video menu in the bios is a section that says what to boot. set yours to boot sg mode. then reboot back into bios to make sure it set. then shut down and add card one more time. then boot back into bios and see if you can see the card there. if you can see the card, then it can be flashed using this method and svl7 can help out, but if you can not see the card, then you would have to flash it from your other machine. speculation of course. provide the card is still working and all. and is still working in the machine it got pulled from. also check backplate to make sure it's insulated around the screw holes. you should have yellow tape on at least 2 of the 4 holes.
  13. trying booting intel graphics first. once on intel graphics, then shut down and add the 680m. do not put the whole machine back together first.you can use a usb keyboard and only need to attach the video cable and something to insulate the power button. (for safety) then try to power it on. sometimes you may need to pull out two memory sticks. don't ask me why, because i have no clue. these are just potential work a rounds you can try before trying to flash the card
  14. Did you do the catzilla bench yet? 1440P I want them to hurry up and fix the submitting so i can grab a snap shot of my name in that top ten list. Since once it gets going, we will never get any where close to that on the desktop side. my list
