From Personal experience.... Always use the A03 Stock firmware when blindflashing... And most importantly be patient... Wait until it restarts itself... It will be beeping more than 20x's (its more like 80 or so in my case) ... Just wait it out... when in doubt... WAIT. Pulling power cable will end up in brick.

Hi svl7, is there a A03 unlocked bios + 11.5 OROM somewhere I can download yet? Thanks for all your help As for users wanting to downgrade... It may or may not work for you... I was successful in downgrading my bios by downloading the original stock A03 and renaming it accordingly to blindflash instructions. Make sure you wait until it restarts itself... When in doubt... WAIT... a premature shutdown is almost guaranteed brick. This is in no way safe... just wanted to post my success in hopes of helping other users.

Anyone else success with downgrading A07/A08 down to A03??? I did a A08>A07 and bam bricked.... Waited at least 30mins... system didn't restart so I unplugged... Then system was brick. Tried everything and its completely dead...

Don't do it.... I had it on for hours... Still bricked.

Wasnt it offered the first week or so of release?

From what I experienced with multiple 7970m cards... (by multiple I mean like.... 3+ different sets) They all seemed to read different voltages... I would just test the cards and if every works I wouldnt sweat it.... I went through the same dilemma a month ago... I have a set right now that would read .975 on 1 and the other 1.05 and works perfectly fine... My advice is to just ignore the volts unless cards start giving you problems.

I have been trying to get a solid answer from AW/DELL team in regards to this since the R2 came out... It looks like it was offered briefly for about a week or so... And then theres the drivers for it on the R2 page.... So not sure what to make of it...

Can anyone with the WIHD setup confirm if its working correctly with the new A07/A08 bios? I really hope the new bios fixed this problem with not being able to connect to WiHD receiver...

Can anyone with WIHD installed in the M18X R2 see if its finally working yet with the new A08 bios? I just updated my bios with the A07 and notice the boot has something called Windows 8 Quick boot now... Does anyone know what that does? Hey not sure if anyone else is experiencing this... But I just updated and lost bios detection on my Crucial SSD drive... After some google work I notice that alot of Crucial users running the latest firmware may have problems with UEFI bios... Not sure what the update did but it definitely knocked my drive off and was undetected until I followed the Crucial guide for proper reset.... Just a heads up to save some time for anyone who are the Crucial SSD w/ latest firmware and looking to update. (Downgrade drive firmware to 000F before running the R2 A08 firmware upgrade to avoid headache....) I hope its still unlockable. I jumped the gun and flash stock A08 thinking you already unlocked A08 (front page mis-named A08-Unlocked)... None the less, your awesome Svl7! Thanks for all your hard work.
