  1. That should not matter, because you can also easily install the GTX980M from the GT72 MXM Upgrade Kit in a GT70, Optimus works perfectly then.
  2. Hi Klem, is it possible that you can create an OC VBIOS for MSI GTX780M 4GB ? You had me at the time of my old GTX870M 3GB created, which was perfect! I Had the opportunity to swap the graphics cards for free: D GPU-Z Screen: Below the original MSI VIOS. Many thx ! 780m.zip
  3. Yes, the GTX900M Series runs without any problems in the MS-1761 Barebone. This Series works in all MSI Barebones. You can visit our german MSI Forum https://forum-de.msi.com/index.php/topic,107088.0.html or https://forum-de.msi.com/index.php/topic,107772.0.html However, I recommend the MSI version of GTX900M series, because there you need not modified driver or even another VBIOS. These cards worked Plug & Play. They can be easily available for purchase by buying the GT72 MXM Upgrade Kit. However, one needs a new heatpipe that I would recommend the normal Kepler Heatpipe, because you must modify only slightly, because the Maxwell heatpipes are priceless.
  4. Yes, you need to flash the MSI vBIOS and you ne need the modified .inf file.
  5. Look here: http://forum.techinferno.com/general-notebook-discussions/1847-nvidia-kepler-vbios-mods-overclocking-editions-modified-clocks-voltage-tweaks.html
  6. And here is a Screenshoot from my GPU-Z with this vBIOS: Here is my 3D Mark 11 Result: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-4700MQ,Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. MS-1763 And here my 3D Mark Firestrike: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-4700MQ,MEDION X782X I have an Medion Erazer X782* with the MSI GT70 2PC Bios & Medion 5.15 EC Firmware (for the different Sensorbar). The Firestrike Result was with the original Medion Bios. The Systembios you don´t need to modify, but an Update is a good idea 51B is the latest Bios Notebook - The best gaming notebook provider and 517 the latest EC Firmware: Notebook - The best gaming notebook provider here is the best OC vBIOS for your MSI GTX870M 3GB. 7. You can also operate the GT60 without MXM graphics card, but then the fan is extremely loud.
  8. only when you have a GTX675MX, than can you modify the Heatsink. When you have a GTX675M, the Heatsink is not compatible.
  9. Please excuse me. It was not really my intention to flash the Bios GT70, but since I currently had some sound problems, I've just tested times and am now much more satisfied with the GT70 Bios on the device. If you like, you can do this also like to unlock, because where I stay now. Now you can finally use all of MSI, including the Sound Blaster software. Here the backup from the GT70 would MS-1763 BIOS from the version 51B. Zippyshare.com BTW: also from new hosting the download does not complete. I've been using Firefox 38.0.1, Windows 8.1 Pro and NOD32 as antivirus. It already is the message in the download window "may contain spyware or a virus, canceled download". Maybe it's the host of Russia, which will be possibly classified as dangerous, I am from Germany. Maybe you can also use Zippyshare.com.
  10. mhh incl. virus say my NOD32 but it doesn´t matter, i´ve flashed now the GT70 51B Bios on my device, so i can use the Soundblaster Software from MSI.
  11. New MSI MEDION Heat Sink nVidia GTX780 GTX770 E31-0406580-Y31 | eBay New MSI Heat Sink nVidia GTX780 GTX770 GT60 GT70 GTX 680 GTX 675mx GTX 670mx | eBay and so you must modify the Heatsink for the Maxwell Cards:
  12. @ShinGlacier this is not possible, you need the Kepler Heatsink (easy to modify) or the old Fermi Heatsink (from GTX460M, GTX560M & GT555M). @Klem many thx, here is my Biosbackup: Zippyshare.com
  13. @ShinGlacier only with the MSI vBIOS. But the Price is to high... for $500-600 you can get a GTX970M, look here: The Official MSI GT60/70 970m/980m Upgrade Thread | NotebookReview @Klem how can i save my current Bios ?
  14. Thx Klem, When you want can you unlock my Bios i´ve uploaded the latest version here: Zippyshare.com
  15. 870M is much better. You finde in Techinferno some unlocked vBios Versions for the Cards...
  16. Mhh du you have the latest Chipset driver installed ? it can be possible, that the GTX660M works only with the MS-1762/MS-16F3... like the GTX670MX 3GB from Clevo, this Card works only in MS-16F1 Barebones, not in MS-16F2 or MS-1761
  17. @t0mX more Details please... @sliderfra Whats your Bios and EC Firmware Version ? Btw: Your chassie is a MS-1763, not a MS-16F4.
  18. Great News, thx for reply. You have also changed your GPU Heatsink ?
  19. Try to use the modified driver from LaptopVideo2Go: NVIDIA & Laptop News http://laptopvideo2go.com/nvidia/350series/35263_win8x64.exe extract and replace the nv_dispi.inf with this file http://laptopvideo2go.com/infs/350series/35263_win8x64/nv_dispi.inf
  20. first you should renew your Bios, because only with the 51x BIOS function Kepler cards at all with the MS-16F3 / GT60. Here you have the Bios incl. EC Firmware, you must flash both: Zippyshare.com - GT60 51x incl Winflash.zip but i think, that the GTX660M will never work. Even if there is no MSI VBIOS for the card, the device must be at least halfway to boot. But since you get no picture signal, you can assume that it is not compatible. Not every MXM card is always compatible ...
  21. i think that the GTX660M is not compatible with the MS-16F31 / GT60,because MSI has never released a GTX660M in this barebone, so it gives no vBIOS from MSI for the MXM Version. btw: you need also another Heatsink to use a Kepler Card.
  22. than send me a msg 400€, that can be possible to get a GTX970M. One User has sell last week a Clevo GTX970M 6GB incl. originaly MSI Maxwell Heatsink for 500€ in our marketplace.
  23. You need the MSI Version from the GTX770M, than you have no trouble. The Clevo Version will be also work, with the MSI vBIOS and modified drivers. You need also another Heatsink for Kepler GPU´s, or you modify your GT555M Heatsink, that is possible. The best performance Option is the GTX970M for ca. 500€. 2 + 3: when you want, i have a complete GT70 Chassie incl. german Backlight Keyboard for you, but you can also use glue for some breaks. When you want, than you can visit me in the german end-user MSI Forum www.msi-forum.de , there i´m moderator for the Notebooksection.
  24. Not working with my Testnotebook (MySN P711 Pro aka MS-1761 + i5-2410M), only Black screen, intern and via HDMI.
  25. http://download.laptopvideo2go.com/nvidia/350series/35005_win8x64.exe http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/infs/350series/35005_win8x64/nv_dispi.inf download both, after extracting the driver you must find the nv_dispi.inf to replace this.
