Do you want an effective cooling pad?

I modified my cooling pad and it gives really good result!

just expose the cooling pad's fan as shown below .

Did you mod the mesh of the laptop's fans too?

just the dust filter and the cooling pad.

What cooling pad did you mod that from? I just bought a Y410P and my old one doesn't seem to work well with it :(

uh.. did you just cut the grill off?

It doesn't seem to do much (also expose the fans blade to bugs, dirt and fingers), but whatever floats your boat

Hey Jam have you tried raising the cooling pad slightly from the surface below? I found with the few cooling pads I owned that the ones that are on an angle or raised slightly allows more airflow than the simple flat ones. Great mod though looks like it would be pretty decent
