Great work everyone... bench anything that can run a bench mark and you may and up with even .1 of a point but that adds up when you've perhaps done it on all of your systems... I've gone through there is early dx9 benchmarks for older hardware and wprime, super pi, pifast , etc all work on most cpus... mobile is included we have a broad range we can submit benches for and as mentioned these scores dont need to be overclocked if not possible to still get points for the team.

I need to bench my wifes computer. Would be nice if I knew if I could OC it or not. Just some basic best buy dell inspiron 15" system. I need more hardware :P

Benched a Dell Studio 15 core 2 duo 2. ghz at stock it got some points at HWbot he he.

What we should do is carry benching programs on a thumb drive on a key chain. Then we can bench everything we come across lol.

Mwahhahahah :Banane40:I already got one filled with them lol. Its an 8gb esata-usb combo thumb drive called a OCZ Throttle. I've got all the benches hwbot lists in their bench section.

Read: Up to90MB/sec* Write: Up to 30MB/sec* slightly exceeds 50 MB/s in writing via eSATA this thing has never failed me...

I might pick up another larger drive like it with esata and usb 3... the drive has lasted years so far and works great.

If it was something that adds to the teams points I downloaded it Hardware news, Overclocking Competitions, Reviews

OCZ Throttle eSATA Flash Drive *EOL - OCZ

Hehehehe, great work guys, we're now team #252... this means we beat Team NBR which is at #254 !

Keep up the great benching!! Thanks for all the submissions so far!

I will have to add some points as well... will bench asap, @mw86 already already earned more points than I did so far, awesome job!

I just got a 6990m, will do some benching when I have time, will probably take a couple of weeks until I can do it.

The latest standings...

Incredible work @mw86!! +rep

I was about to do some benching with my ancient toshiba laptop... disassembled to find the PLL. I think I found it, but it seems I can't find the datasheet... damn.

Well, found the datasheet in the end and did some quick benching, got me some hardware points for the Pentium 4 2.8 GHz and Intel 828555 integrated graphics, 3dM03 and 3dM2001, lol. Also some wprime and CPU-Z runs, but I simply can't get it as high as I'd like... does anyone here got some experience with overclocking Pentiums? I guess my RAM is crashing, but since it's a notebook I pretty much don't have any options in the BIOS, e.g. to set the FSB:DRAM ratio to 1:1 for example. Only thing I can think of is changing some stuff in the RAM profile itself with the SPD tool, though I have no idea what exactly needs to be changed... ideas? :D

no ideas here i have a pentium d 3.6ghz with overclock ram but no way to overclock it was hoping for ideas on a pin mod... maybe you can too

Cool, is it in a desktop system? Take a look at the mobo, you need to find the PLL chip, usually it's a rectangular chip with about 50-60 pins and it's just next to a crystal with a frequency of about 14.318 MHz (usually). Take a look at this picture, yellow encircled is the PLL, and green the crystal.

You could also simply google your motherboard model and see whether you can find information, but that's less fun, hahahaha.

Overclocking might work with setFSB or a similar program (if the PLL is programmable per software and the PLL is supported by setFSB or whatever). If not we will have to figure out a pinmod, hehehe.

I managed to get it working with setFSB.

can you identify my pll?

Yep, it's the one on the first pic, just next to the 14.318 MHz crystal, it's an SLG84410BE, I attached the datasheet. Didn't have time to study it so far, but it seems that at least a Pinmod should be possible. The bus speed of your motherboard is already at 200MHz, I don't know even know for sure if it can be pushed further with a pinmod. I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to pinmodding a PLL chip, but I should find some time on the weekend to take a look at this, maybe we can figure out something.

The chip isn't listed in SetFSB, but maybe a different tool works, e.g. clockgen... but I'm not even sure whether the chip can be accessed by software, as I said, I didn't have time to look at the datasheet. I'd say google your PLL and you might get some more information.

Edit: Forgot to attach the datasheet, lol.

@svl7 thanks so much im gonna try clockgen to see if it can adjust my pll... if i can my ram is rated at 800mhz and its running 533mhz in that system so thats total win for overclock headroom if I start upping that FSB... if that don't work there's always conductive ink pens http://www.markertek.com/Tools-Test-Equipment/Soldering-Equipment-Solder/Caig-Laboratories-Inc/CW100P.xhtml

@mw86 : About your Pentium... can you post a CPU-Z screenshot so that I can see some details? Absolutely no need to hurry, just whenever you come around to.

Okay sure thing thank you so much and by the way.. thank you for adding M18x mobo I don't know ho you do it but thanks SVL7.

Hahaha, you're welcome, it's not a big deal, really... you just need to go to the HWbot forum and file a request for new hardware at the support section :D
