karimatwa
Hello, I would like to know if anyone has any ideas to reduce y510p temps other than repasting and cut the chasis

octiceps
You can try IdeaFan and a cooling pad or elevating the bottom.
lcj759
hmm im not that good with those but what i am running on my y510p is a duo 120mm cooling pad. seems to work for me well. doesnt get hot at all when i have the pad running high. but if i have it on medium it still gets a bit hot. the cooling pad i got is like 60$ so that might be a cheaper easier way to lower temp
thepharcyde
I've removed the metal mesh from my Y500. This with the combination of IdeaFan that's an awesome piece of software and a cooling pad I see a good reduction on temp for both the CPU and GPU's. Playing games that utilise c.95+% gpu power I was hitting the GPU threshold on the non sli card and was temp downclocked to 790 from 1150mhz automactically. It now never drops from 1150.
