mikecacho
What would alter the display adapter to cause such an issue, J95 are there settings that can be disabled in the bios or registry you can think of that would prevent this from happening? This makes no sense to me on why this is happening. - - - Updated - - - Single Both single or SLi
godfafa
I am testing this single. I have tested SLI too. Same issue.I dont think 980m works well in alienware now.I am one of the person who have tested 980m for the longest time on alienware. Now I am thinking that 980m should not be used in alienware if you dont want to waste your money. louis1978uk
Surely its system rather than driver related then? Need a bios tweak?
godfafa
Surely its system rather than driver related then? Need a bios tweak?I dont think this is driver.Because if it is driver problem, why did it work yesterday and not today? It is something about board.Too much high-pitch abnormal sound is heard when 980m runs at normal clock. This is very strange. All three 980m that I tested had this high pitch sound. (I dont know how you guys call this. this sound can be heard sometimes in PSU)
