OC on 3720qm and 7970m

so first of how is the 7970m overclocked now compared to a 680m ? on a P170EM ?

and how much overclock can the 3720qm take on a P170EM ? heard max, about +300 ? on alienware 400 ?

I dont know about the processor but the 680m and 7970m are somewhat equal in games while overclocked. Some games perform better on ati and some on nvidia but the 680m gets better scores in benchmarks. I would recommend getting the cheaper card.

I wouldn't say an "easy" 1.1GHz on the core, but the 7970M definitely has good OC potential while staying relatively cool. I'd also say go for the cheaper card.
